String Zero Recaps, Feedback

I don't use plot summaries. The LOOM is sufficient. However, I'm one of those people that digs your writing style and was trackin' the whole time.

I'm very invested in Sting Zero's story. I also might be among a minority of vn readers because not only do I adore String Zero's lack of hand holding, but I also go out of my way to re-read the entirety of the novel from start to finish with each new update, to refresh myself on what last happened. Personally, I feel like the LOOM is a sufficient enough source of information even if you choose not to re-read. It generally condenses information into digestible blurbs that you can choose to interact with or not and it covers almost everything of note (or at least things surrounding Ravy). I can understand why a recap would be valuable to other readers, but personally I would find one distracting if it was a forced break in between chapters. Maybe implementing a recap as a menu option seperate from the engaged reading would be appropriate? Anyway to more literally answer the proposed question in your post, I think a smaller, easy-to-consume recap would be best. Inevitabley I think String Zero is too complex and a recap wouldn't be able to do the full story justice.

I definitely agree with the other two so far in that plot summary seems better to me. I mean, I came back to the VN a year later, no summary, and managed to blunt-force my way back into remembering all the crucial stuff while I read. To me, a plot outline would be so daunting I'd just take my chances with remembering as I go, but I'd probably be quite appreciative of a summary to make sure I haven't missed the broad strokes On that note, I think it would be best if the summaries focused on/ensured they included information that will be most relevant immediately in the following chapter; like 'previously on's on TV, instead of a Wikipedia plot summary

I think a plot summary is enough for the most part. For me a chapter recap is refreshing what I've already read previously. It doesn't have to be very consise as long as I know where we left off and what the current state of affairs are. While I do see the merit of plot outline, I don't think it services the novel very well. For me the fun is making sense of the implications and these connections between characters myself.

I think a Plot Summary is much better. While rough plot outlines are good to better understand the gist of the chapter, the summary helps get a quick rough understanding quicker. It allows the reader to go back and see for themselves these plot points develop. That's what I think anyways
