Gasoline vs Burning Magnesium (Teaser + bts)
Added 2024-06-12 17:10:54 +0000 UTCWhile the Chemistry in car video is being edited and should be out this month, I've started filming the next video! This is a teaser of some of the clips I filmed for it today.
So far the focus is on Gasoline sometimes being able to put out a metal fire because it steals away the oxygen from surrounding air and forms a carbon soot barrier on the metal surface after it's done burning. I'll be testing different forms of burning Magnesium, Titanium, and Sodium with a variety of liquids and I'll explain why some work and some don't. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

thanks! And yeah, I'll be referencing his attempts in the video and seeing different ways to light Titanium on fire. So far from my tests, it seems pure Oxygen with Magnesium ribbon to light it, can make it burn really fast!
