Hello DTL. I hope you're okay. I read every comment here, and I'm sorry if I make you repeat yourself. I get the patreon tiers thing and the evolving date of retirement etc. but I'm not sure about the *why*? Is it because of what you said about your voice and your issues with rest and damages? You are of course entitled to your privacy, it's just that I'm really curious to know the why. I think I've been listening to you since almost your beginnings, and I've only been able to support you here very recently but I've always thought you were one of the best, more for the wholesome audios and triggers than the lewd, as for me it's a bit secondary. I still think that out of the dozens of Asmrtists I listen to, your work is the most tingling, especially the ear stuff. The idea of you stopping in the near future has literally made me cry a bit, no cap. (it's not an attempt at guilt-tripping you, I swear ><) I've been relying on ASMR and creators like you every night and sometimes even during the day, for years now. It's the *only* thing that allows me to sleep, or even relax, through the constant pain I have to live with everyday, even though I'm already maxxing or going over the safe dosage of the strongest meds. (end of my life story...) I instantly loved you and your content, and your audios have always, *always* helped me manage. I don't really know why I feel so strongly towards your work, but here it is. I will cherish what you've given us probably for the rest of my life, and I selfishly hope this retirement will come at the latest possible moment. I know you said you would still post audios here and there when the times come, but it's hard to not feel like something will end... So, even though it's not goodbye for now, from the bottom of my heart: Thank you, for everything. I hope that whatever happens and whatever you do after all this, you will have a good life. You deserve it.

If I'm understanding this right (and please forgive me if im not, its 2:45am, been a long day), you are suffering from - or have become susceptible to? - potentially long-term vocal damage, are altering current Patreon shenanigans to better accommodate those issues, and are looking at an end-of-year retirement? If so, as early as it is to say this, I truly wish you the best moving forward from DTL. Gonna be weird when that comes to pass, as I remember when the initial channel had only a few videos on it, and have been an avid listener since, but im sure we'll all manage. Been a bumpy yet delightful ride, what with the various obstacles and all throughout DTL/W history, but one im glad to have experienced, even as someone who mostly just lurks, outside of community posts etc. Will hopefully stick around to the end, life permitted. And with the risk of sounding patronising, please prioritise your own health in this coming year, as opposed to say, 31 days of content for the holiday season and stuff. All the best, and the care.

aw, that's very bittersweet to hear - very sad to hear that you're planning on retiring soon, but happy that you're taking care of yourself and may still stick around with less frequent updates :) i want to add, i've been following you since the black hole video when i accidentally stumbled upon it and didn't like asmr, but i gave some of the meme-y roleplays a try and over time your channel REALLY grew on me, to the point that now i've been subscribed and actively listening for what, 2 or 3 years? lots of sad moments when your channels got purged or videos had to be removed but it was always reassuring to see you come back and keep at it :) tbh it kind of feels like when you have a tv show you've watched off and on, but consistently, for years and then find out this is the last season - for so long DTL and vary have been pumping out consistent goofy asmr roleplays with the occasional lewd and now it's like the end of an era haha you have given me (and many others!) soooo many hours of entertainment, relaxation, background noise, and tbh probably helped a lot of people feel less lonely over the years, and i (we?) really appreciate it! your voice, personality, acting, and content are so great and so unique that it will be a big loss once you stop, and i genuinely really love the style you've come into, like with the recent jinx and the confession ones where you can really hear the vocal range and emotion you've developed, and i always really enjoy the ones where your personality shines through :) (or at least i assume from what i've seen in the livestreams lmao), plus the way you mix in actual ASMR sounds into roleplays is AMAZING and one of the biggest things that will be missed! you are so good at combining the roleplays and ASMR - while it seems like most creators either do one or the other - and your actual sounds/triggers have gotten really good too! it's very obvious that you put a lot of effort into improving and trying new things and the results have been fantastic sorry, probably gone on for too long, but what i want to say is: THANK YOU! :D

I still remember my first time viewing an asmr video, it was one of yours about a bully confessing to her wimp of a crush. Since then I’ve plummeted down this rabbit hole with no regrets.
