40 min. Patreon Exclusive: The Story Behind Ocean of Opportunity

So! As I think I stress in this video many times, if this isn't all that interesting to you, then you're not gonna hurt my feelings, I just won't make another episode like this :P
The idea is: A (patreon exclusive) video talking about things I've made (this time, ocean of opportunity, my second original album), how and why it came to be, and my thoughts and feelings around it. I was inspired by a band I like who did a similar thing and thought maybe you guys would appreciate this, but hey if you don't, I promise, it doesn't matter. I'm more comfortable (and better at as well) just singing songs, so be honest with me and urself. Leave a comment with a question or what you want me to talk about next (I was thinking my next original album but its up to you), and if you rather only wanna see these posts if they come with a new music video, then that is completely fine. I'm not looking to waste anyone's time.
Your support means a lot to me so this is just an attempt at getting better on Patreon, and if this isn't interesting, it's just a swing and a miss. Anyways, let me know if you like this, and just don't comment if you don't like it.

Big hug, enjoy the "podcast" xD

And yes, I would like to hear about the process of album creation and how much it costs. It’s interesting to hear from the person who actually did it.

I’m interested in this type of content! I love to hear the story of your songs, albums and other projects. Especially if there were any fun or crazy moments while you were creating them. 🤗

I personally love having behind the scenes videos (^^) I think these can also make people feel like they get something extra.

I LOVED Ocean of Opportunity. Probably listened to it 100 times. God's Pocket, Brigantine of Tranquility, and The Last Journey were specifically played daily for a year. So I like the BTS video on how it was made. Any chance you'll be releasing the backing tracks? I'd love to do some karaoke of it!

I often went to listen to my wife when she gave lectures and I remember her explaining to her students why the story behind everything is so important. It is not only the possibility of someone connecting emotionally because they see something in common and relate, but a very basic hunger of our consciousness for narratives, since the very architectonics of our nervous tissue is organized through chains of meaningful narratives of successive signifiers. One of the reasons that original music is perceived as a phenomenon of greater value is that authors provide a new set of stories, that are unique and feed this basic hunger. Not all music and its narrative, unfortunately, can be digested like fast food and therefore to spread widely, because we seem to be in the times when people are losing the ability to postpone quick gratification. However, the lack of certain popularity does not detract from the fact that for thousands of people these original albums mean really a lot. The same goes for the story behind them. We would love to hear any stories you have to share.
