Sorry for being absentee this weekend — I was guesting at El Paso Comic Con, which was such a fun and great experience! This was my last Southwestern con before I move, so El Paso Comic Con will no longer be a "local con" for me in about a month. It was a great way to end my 3-year stint in southern New Mexico, and I couldn't have asked for two better ladies to do it with — Christina Dark (as femme!Joker) and the woman who needs no introduction, Queen of Cosplay Yaya Han!
Christina has been my constant companion at these local conventions these last few years, and I have been so lucky to have such a sweet and welcoming friend to be table buddies with at all the cons around here! And Yaya was incredibly kind and gracious — I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet her and get to know her a little, and feel like I learned so much from her even just in the few days we got to spend together.
Now that EPCon is over, my focus is going to turn to Denver Comic Con, which is at the end of June! DCC is my hometown con and very dear to my heart, and I try to bring my A-game with 3 brand new costumes each year.
I'm also moving towards the end of May, so I'm doing a bunch of prep for that. I managed to sell off a lot of costumes and wigs at EPCon, which was a big relief! I'm also going to be trimming down my print offerings and trying to sell out some backstock to make that easier to transport, so keep an eye out for big print sales and deals over the next few weeks.
My goal is to focus my work on Chell's boots to get that costume knocked out so I can then narrow focus on my DCC cosplays. Here's my plan for DCC: Iris from Final Fantasy XV for a FF group, femme!Doctor Horrible to meet Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion, and, if all goes well... a fully articulated Fantasia centaurette.
I know I keep promising that this month I'll get everything out in the first two weeks, but unfortunately it's a vicious cycle — the more of the month I have to spend completing the previous month's rewards, the less time I have to get ahead of the game and start on the next month's. I am aiming to get March's rewards fully completed this week, and I will continue to work harder at efficiency and speed in the future, but for now I'm not making any promises! You'll just have to bear with me while I learn how to balance all this stuff!
As always, thank you SO much for your support and for your patience and kindness!! Patreon is, as ever, a learning experience for me, and of course I welcome your feedback, positive and negative, whenever you have it! Sorry for the novel — but you know me! 😜
