Hello my lovelies,

How are you doing? I've been reflecting on our cozy Myrtlewood community, how lovely it is and how it has been growing steadily over the past year. As you know, I started this fan club as a way to connect more directly with readers of my Myrtlewood books. It truly is such a delight to dream up all the extra Myrtlewood goodies I share here. And I love treating you to a bounty of real witchy content, especially as it inspires and supports my own magical practice too!

I've also really appreciated how this space has given us the chance to get to know each other better.

On that note, I want to take a moment to remind you about another special benefit of being part of the Myrtlewood Magic Fan Club: our special Myrtlewood Discord server.  

This server is our very own social space away, better for deeper conversations and sharing than regular social media platforms! I created it for us as I'm keen to continue cultivating a community where we can have deeper and more meaningful conversations than the usual social media platforms allow.

If you would like to come and hang out with us at the Myrtlewood Discord server, all you need to do is become a paid supporter of the fan club at any level.  If you're already a paid supporter, you should be able to join us! See the instructions below. 

If you're not familiar with Discord, it's a bit like the old chatrooms that many of us used to hang out in back in the 90s, with a bunch of channels for different topics of conversation. I've created channels for witchy things, celebrations, discussions about my books and more.

I've also just created a new Sacred Space channel for us because I know sometimes things are hard and strange and need gentle sacredness, based on your beautiful conversations and sharing. Here is the description for this new channel: a place for the sacred, for grief, for the hard things that need to be held gently with grace and compassion. a cauldron for the liminal in the cocoon of our underworld journeys.

The Myrtlewood Discord is where we can form a more personal connection with each other. And I want to extend an invitation to join us if you haven't already.

How to join us

If you're keen to jump in, go to my Patreon page under the Memberships tab. Clicking on the Discord icon there should give you access to the server: https://www.patreon.com/IrisBeaglehole/membership  

If you've never used Discord before, it's straightforward to set up an account - there's even an app you can download on your phone if you want to! Please let me know if you need any extra help. I find new technology confusing, but I'll do my best to figure things out with you.
