Patreon Stories?!

Hi guys! You may have seen that Patreon just released a new feature called "Lens" that's basically Instagram/Snapchat-style stories for Patreon. I'm not sure how I'll be using it, so I thought we could have a little discussion about it!

I definitely see this as having crossover with my Patron-only Instagram. And while managing that follower list is difficult (I have to add/remove people manually based on your pledges, and keeping my spreadsheet of who is/isn't supposed to be there and how your usernames correspond to your names on Patreon is very labor intensive), there's still a lot I like about Instagram:

You're already there — I know a lot of people don't use the Patreon app regularly, so Instagram lets me put your exclusive content in a place that's already convenient for you
I can make permanent posts that don't clutter my Patreon feed — I worry that if I posted as often to Patreon as I do to Instagram, people would turn off email notifications, which would make it difficult for me to reach you guys with the truly important updates

But posting everything that goes on my Instagram to my Patreon "lens" stories too also seems like a time-consuming additional step. I don't know, what do you guys think? I want to make choices that are both convenient for you to consume and also convenient for me to manage, because if I make it too hard for myself (I've learned) I get behind and then I feel guilty and it's a whole mess! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
