Have you been feeling the call to gather your people?

Hello my lovelies,

Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it can be when witches and magical folk come together—not just to celebrate the seasons or share knowledge, but to belong to something meaningful.

In a world that often pulls us into isolation, that rewards individual hustle and constant output, carving out space for spiritual connection and shared ritual is both nourishing and subversive. It’s also deeply needed.

There’s something quietly radical about choosing to come together.

I’ve spoken with many witches, seekers, and magical practitioners who’ve shared how much they long for community—but aren’t quite sure where to begin. Some have dreamed of starting a coven for years, but felt unsure whether they were "qualified." Others have wanted to simply meet likeminded souls for coffee and conversation, but hesitated, unsure how to find the right people or what to say.

The truth is, you don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to be a teacher or an elder or a perfect practitioner. You just need to be willing to hold space and put the word out.

To light the fire in the hearth...

To say: Come in. You’re welcome here.

That’s why I created a resource that I'm giving away: The Coven Handbook—a practical and soulful guide for starting or joining a witchy community group. Whether you’re drawn to regular moon circles, seasonal rituals, simple spiritual meet-ups, or something else entirely, this guide is designed to help you begin in a way that feels grounded, spacious, and aligned with your own values and energy.

If you're reading Awakening the Wild Witch, you may have already come across the Coven Handbook, as it's on the page of resources I've created to accompany the book, but I'm extending the invitation out to anyone who is feeling curious about connecting, growing and building community - even if it's just taking the initiative to set up a local magical coffee (or tea) meet up.

This is not a rulebook. It’s an offering. A gentle nudge. A companion for those who are ready to start weaving connection.

Because something magical happens when we gather.
Even something as simple as a cup of tea with a shared intention can begin to reweave the threads of belonging that so many of us are aching for.

Inside the guide, you’ll find ideas for gathering formats, guidance on setting boundaries and expectations, templates for invitations and flyers, tips for finding others, and thoughts on how to tend to the growth (and eventual evolution) of your circle. But more than that, you’ll find permission.

Permission to begin before you feel ready.

Permission to keep it small and simple.

Permission to be a space-holder without needing to have it all figured out.

Community is one of the most powerful antidotes to spiritual isolation. Not just because it offers companionship, but because it helps us grow in ways we simply can’t when we’re walking alone. We’re not meant to be islands. We’re here to support and magnify one another’s magic.

And if you’re someone who’s been feeling the quiet stirrings of leadership—of being the one to initiate the gathering, to send the message, to hold the container—know this: we need you to shine your light in this world.

Not a perfect you. Not a more experienced you. Just you, now.

I wrote this handbook because I believe that the world needs more circles. More safe, sacred places where people can show up as they are, share what’s real, and remember the rhythms that run deeper than the noise of the modern world.

If that speaks to something inside you, perhaps it’s time.

Many of us are scattered across different places, walking similar paths alone.

As I’ve been writing this, I’ve been thinking: maybe part of my role is not just to offer guidance, but to help people find each other.

Part of me wonders: what if we could weave a quiet web of witches across the land—people ready to gather, even if it's just over a cuppa to begin with? I’m considering keeping a gentle list of groups. So if you have a local witchy meet up group, or are looking to start one, I can help you find your people if the stars align.

What do you think? Would that be something you’d find valuable?

The Coven Handbook is available to download below.
I hope it supports you in gathering your people, in whatever way feels right for you.

Blessed be
Iris

Thank you for giving us this gift of The Coven Handbook. I'm looking forward to reading it. Your vision of bringing like minded people together is beautiful! I'm not sure if I'm being called to lead, but I'll let you know for sure. Thank you

Lynne
