Star vs The Forces of Evil S02 E15 "Raid the Cave / Trickstar" Reaction

In episode 14, he burned a page of the book right before getting kidnapped by Ludo/Toffee... maybe he could see in the future that the book was going to be stolen so he got rid of a page before Toffee could see it? Also in an earlier episode this season, By The Book, Glossaryck's feelings are hurt when Star said that she didn't consider them friends. If he thinks friendship is so trivial, why would he be so upset by this?
I don't buy for a second that Glossaryck is just going to sit by and let Toffee take over the book! But let me know your thoughts on this below :)
