SVTFOE S04 E05 Full Length Reaction

OMG STAR 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with you completely. Eclipsa and Moon both refuse to see things from the other's perspective. Star has been subject to both, and I think would make the most rational decisions on the kingdom's behalf.

So it seems Mewni is a land ruled by extremes. Whether it is Moon who seems to have taken more of an "active neglect" approach to monster rights, or Eclipsa who has actively taken land from the Mewmans to upend the social order of things in a fell stroke and seems to think "time" will heal those wounds; there doesn't seem to be any kind of happy medium. I cant help but think that someone trying to poison Eclipsa might be the least of her problems considering where things look to be headed. Another episode that had a vary serious tone of civil unrest obsucred by Star and Marco playing detective. Gotta love those subversive plots. Now Down by the river just kind of hammers that home. Throwing people out of their homes just isn't the way. But seriously that Maizley family is SO annoying I was 100% with Moon in building that catapult and baking some "death pies". I really empathized with Moon this episode as we learn some unpleasant truths about Mewni during the old regime! So think the take home lesson for this episode is this: Extreme's don't work; whether is coddling people to the point of helplessness or upending the entire social order in a matter of months. You need a balanced approach and it's why I'm voting Star for president!

Good point- in the end, so many people dislike Eclipsa that it doesn't really matter who was the culprit in this specific crime. Unless she can get more people on her side, this may unfortunately be a regular occurrence for her. And yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of the Maizleys' either LOL
