Keyleth at the Renaissance Festival!
Added 2019-07-29 15:36:17 +0000 UTCI wore Keyleth to the Colorado Renaissance Festival this weekend as a test run before GenCon! (I'm glad I did, because I need to make a few changes now!)
FRANDSSSS
The main things I need to change are:
- The headdress didn't stay in place well! I'll be adding an elastic band at the back (like I did on my Wonder Woman tiara) to make sure it stays put during GenCon.
- I popped a bit of the seam on the leggings because I stupidly didn't use my serger (which can create a stretchy seam) on the pants. Sergers are hard to thread and require 4 spools of thread in whatever color you're using, so sometimes I let laziness get the best of me. OOP.
- The leggings are a very stretchy knit, so I initially didn't create a finished waistband, since it wouldn't be visible. However, I ended up having to pull my pants up a lot throughout the day, so I'm gonna add a full waistband now.
- I fitted the bralette over top of a bra, which was stupid, since I can't wear a bra underneath it. I'm going to try and sew bra cups into it (which may be difficult, since it isn't lined!)
And on top of all that, I still need to make her gloves and boot covers. PHEW, I have my work cut out for me!!
