Added 2021-07-06 18:13:29 +0000 UTCI'm curious if you guys had an episode you were partial to out of the first 2 episodes of season 5 of Rick and Morty? I think I enjoyed 1 more, but it may have just been because it was our first episode back after so long and I was just so excited lol!

Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed episode 2, in fact I went so far as to look up and make sure I was right that the piano music played in the background was Sinnerman by Nina Simone, it was.

So many hilarious moments with a classic dark twist that just got so out of hand in the most R&M way!😅 We’ve had a really good run with season openers for this show but I’d say it definitely stands up as one of my favourites, maybe not over Rickshank Rickdemption but it’s still amazing and I love it!✨

Like I know there was an overarching “decoy” storyline but it still felt more random and spontaneous yet still held together as really funny. Very close between the 2 episodes though. You’re going to love episode 3 lol
