Happy Halloween! I've been so busy decorating for the Halloween party we had this past Saturday and making my costume (plague doctor, because this was our first party since the pandemic) but I wanted to make sure I watched this reaction before the end of the month! I had to stop being a patron for a couple creators to save some money for the holidays, but I'll be back to see the new TOH reactions in the new year! And I'm still subscribed on YouTube in case you start another show that I've seen!

The well wishes are really appreciated I’m definitely coming out the other side of it now, all the best to your aunt too mate, hope she’s back to full health now!✨ Awe you are way too hard on yourself my friend!😅 The way I see it anything other than the reaction itself is like extra so the fact that you do review every episode just makes you awesome! It’s interesting, what you mentioned about them putting starco above everything else, because they totally did!🤣 but it’s funny now that I think about it, up until the last couple of episodes it did feel like there was still a solid story going, that just wasn’t anywhere near over yet. It makes me wonder if they got cut off much later in the production process to TOH and couldn’t change the whole season, so those final few episodes of the season were a last ditch attempt and finding some, be it abrupt, stopping point, and at least satisfy some of the fans in some little way. If that’s the case I may not be as hard on it going forward, however that final scene is just memorable for all the wrong reasons!😂 FOR REAL the view from halfway down is where my mind instantly went!! That one and the infamous Sarah Lynn episode of season 3 have stayed with me ever since I watched them, I don’t know that a show has ever quite hit me the same way that one did. I just love how some of the realest and most intense subject matter I’ve ever seen explored is on a show about an animated horse😭 Truly one of the best shows I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching, while I’m still shouting it’s praises🔥 lastly I AM ALL HERE FOR A LUZ, HUNTER, EDA, LILITH TEAM UP AGAINST BELOS!!! They all deserve to get a lick in you’re absolutely right! Maybe they can form some kind of super witch by combining their strengths! Wishful thinking? Thinking too much about the gogoferrit episode of Rick and morty? Possibly😂

Omg noooo I’m so sorry you were sick friend! My aunt just got over something super similar. Felt like covid but wasn’t, but still had her down and out. I hope you’re feeling all better now! And thank you for the kind compliments on my review of this one! Okay this is terrible but honestly I think I started doing lengthier reviews because I started to feel guilty that I was just reacting to someone else’s IPs and not contributing much of my own narrative to it. I mean I STILL feel that way sometimes. But yeah… the answer is: guilt 🤣 I was worried after Star too, but I feel like these creators/writers have done such a great job of giving us Lumity cuteness while remembering THAT’S NOT WHAT THE SHOW’S ABOUT (I mean… it is to ME but… 🤣). I think SVTFOE got way too caught up in Starco and it felt like they decided as long as Starco got their happy ending, who cares about the rest. But TOH is sticking to the Whittabane lore so well, and giving our side characters a chance to finish out their arcs as well! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the acceptance metaphor! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else comment on that yet. I think it’s really cool that wasn’t something you picked up on for the exact reason you said- we’re all going to view certain scenes and moments differently. AND now that you say the thing about Bojack Horseman I absolutely agree! Although I didn’t pick up on it at first. Very “the view from halfway down” 😱 I think/hope Hunter will be the one to finish off Belos. I obviously hope that he doesn’t have to make ANY MORE SACRIFICES rip flapjack 😭😭😭 But I just think if the Collector was the one to take him out, it wouldn’t be nearly as satisfying. I’d love to see Hunter and Luz end him together. I feel like Belos has given them equal trauma. Although… Lilith too… and Eda…. Dang Belos has been busy dishing out the trauma since episode 1 lol! If I had any predictions for what’s to come after this, I would guess that Hunter is maybe gonna have to be the one to finish this, even make the ultimate sacrifice…. IF IT COMES TO THAT OF COURSE, let’s hope not, but he really is connected to belos at this point, in so many ways and it would make sense I think for him to have to strike the final blow. I can’t finish up here without talking about the angel that is FLAPJACK:( The true hero of this story and the best palisman a witch could ask for😭 I really couldn’t put it any better than how you did in your review dude, I especially loved what you said about the palismans being extensions of the witch! The fact that Luz’s dad left her THAT BOOK too just really got to me man😭 like I didn’t even think about that previously but what an awesome little moment, the vlog style videos showing her growing up was a stroke of genius! It gave all of that previous emphasis on her love for The Good Witch Azura so much more weight and just hit me like a tonne of bricks watching that play out, so well done! Which in turn made that final moment of Luz picking up her hat before stepping through the portal such a tear jerker for me, like wow this showw!🌟 I loved everything you said about Camilla in your review and absolutely agree, I do think it was a conscious choice to show Camilla’s commitment to her daughter, especially in the metaphorical sense of wanting to be as accepting and supportive as possible! It’s beautiful because I never would’ve picked up on that due to the fact that I simply can’t relate, it’s super cool to me how two people can look at the same thing and take something completely different away due to perspective! That dream sequence was my favourite part of this episode for sure! The imagery of drowning especially was so freaking cool and reminded me a lot of the style of Bojack Horseman! Utilising the limitless possibilities of animation to portray real and emotional subject matter in a more artsy way! Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!

Sorry this is coming at ya so late mate, I’ve been fighting off one hell of a bug this past week, glad to say it’s not covid at least but its still packs a decent punch lol. I have to say it was kinda hard to write this review, mostly because your review of this episode was SO DAMN GOOD! I mean you hit the nail directly on the head here with every point you made mate! It’s funny, I often go back an watch old Rick and Morty reactions, just because it’s a fun time, and there was a point where you didn’t review at the end of an episode. Do you remember when you decided to start sharing more of your thoughts on an episode, if it was even a conscious choice or just something that naturally evolved? I should point out by the way I always look forward to your reviews at the end, that line of questioning is in no way a dig at you, just plain curiosity😅✨ Yeah so with how SVTFOE was so unfortunately cut short in a similar way to this show, there was this little nagging voice in the back of my mind telling me not to get my hopes up too much here:/ But I FREAKING ADORED this episode from start to finish!!:D It just flowed so perfectly, I genuinely didn’t notice the extended time go by! I really feel the same as you now, I think we’re in good hands for a beautiful close out to the show that’s for sure!!🎉 It’s so clear just how much effort these guys put into this thing, the choices of shots, the flawless editing, the MUSIC was just everything it needed to be and more for the given moment! Talk about firing on all cylinders, I’m truly blown away if you can’t already tell😅✨ I was a little worried too after seeing your Instagram story about the slight change to Amity’s facial structure that a lot was gonna change style-wise in these specials, but nothing bothered me when watching and I think any change in the animation was really slight and only served to give certain scenes this really cool, extra oomph, if that makes any sense😂

I was sleeping on the music in my first watch- through but when I went to edit I was like... wait... They really upped their music game for this last season 😍 Also whoever does Belos's voice is such a great voice actor.. gives me chills too, my friend!!

Love him or hate him, or love to hate him, you can't deny that Belos was such a fantastic villain in this episode. I had chills, Alycia, let me tell you. ACTUAL CHILLS. And the music! My god the music was amazing too. This show is a masterpiece in every sense of the word! Poor Flapjack. He will be missed, but he was such a good birb all the way to the end, and I love that we'll remember him as such :)

Hunter was the star of this episode, for me. I feel like we almost have 2 main characters now- Luz and Hunter. And OOOOH I missed the Hocus Pocus picture! I'm gonna go back in and look for that now :) So adorable

All possible real life explanations... just seemed odd because the scene was going out of it's way to to make it clear it was Camila's stuff/guilty pleasure and adding Manny doesnt really play into it (and is confusing). My (admittedly) over sus mind turned it into the early version's art being repurposed after the axe on season 3 fell, story beats being merged. Dont get me wrong, I love the fact that Luz's obsessions come (at least) in part from Camila, but I think that maybe the original intent was for it to be something from Manny. Also, the way this particular space adventure is described seems more like a "Dad thing". Its not like Luz was into it before or after his death.

Could be the box was Manny's and the rest was Camilla's. Manny could have been being a good boyfriend/husband and participating in Camilla's interests without becoming the same level of fan boy/girl. Or perhaps Manny was into cosplay while Camilla expressed her fandom in other ways.

Im still a little confused about the cosplay in the basement. Clearly its Camila's when she was Luz's age, but one of the boxes in the closet is marked Manny's Cosplay, so were both parents were into it or was there a change in the story line here? Hmm?
