Arcane S01 E08 'Oil and Water' Reaction

the "super mega death rocket" is a rpg ultimate ability Jinx uses in game. im a past jinx main so finding out that all of her three weapons carries a complete backstory with the voices in her head makes all the more sense when the most impactful is Fishbones: the shark launcher she named in Silco's honor. If you hear all of the original voicelines for the characters in game, her conversations with fishbones are what some speculate what could bring her to redemption.

I love both Lil Nas X and Porter Robinson! I’ll definitely have to check those out! It would be hard to make a reaction video for every one of those vids BUT I am planning on doing a patron reaction special to Bridging the Rift soon! Hahaha they really do! But it’s pretty cool to see portrayals of women that could ACTUALLY kick some ass/win some wars. Not saying there’s anything wrong with a skinny bodytype (heck I fall into that category) but it’s definitely not as believable for content like this. And wait I don’t know what a T pose is but I can only imagine 🤣😅🤣

There truly hasn’t been a single point in the show that felt like we deviated from these characters true personalities/backstories to align with LoL lore. So much so that I’ve had to ask you guys every time 😂 It’s insane how clever these writers are. Aah thank you for the compliment on the rain parallel :D I’m gassed that I’m the first person you know of that pointed it out! And oh, I have watched the show 3 times through now AND have been watching other reactors 🤣 This show is definitely my new hyperfixation, and I agree that every time somehow manages to get better! 😍 So excited to talk with you next week about the finale!

I am not too sure if this is something that you would be interested in but with Arcane showcasing 5-10 champions in league of legends that leaves the other 150ish characters basically all with unique designs and stories. Riot games ( who is owned by Tencent, a large Chinese company currently worth $435.5Billion ) has DEEP pockets so they have put a lot in to marketing and game design which means they have literally 100s of videos about the world and stories. Its a massive rabbit hole, some of it feels like just watching like cool mini episodes of arcane and others are experiencing the leading edge of animation and design. They partner with many large celebs and groups to make music videos and stuff as well like Lil Nas X and Porter Robinson. I am sure we would all love you to react to them but if that would be too much of a time sink I completely understand however I would recommend still checking it out in your own time if you ever had a spare moment. I personally love Porter Robinson and I would suggest looking up Riots music video called "Everything Goes on" which is written and performed by him and the music video is a beautiful representation of some other characters in a sailor moon type storyline. Creators really have a thing for buff women don't they? I see a progression from V to Sevika to Mama Medarda. Coincidence? I think not. Btw in that bath scene Mama Madarda could assert her dominance any harder only if she T-posed as well.

Yes, Jayce's hammer and Vi's gauntlets are their main weapons in League of Legends!! I love that they've found ways to introduce all the little parts of character lore without compromising the integrity of the show for those that don't know about them, it's incredible. Definitely a sign of great writing and foresight. Also, the rain parallel!! I've watched the series a few times and watched numerous other reactions, and I've NEVER picked up on that one! That's brilliant! Definitely intentional, too, very good catch! This show is just absolutely chock-full of parallels, and looking back on events (or rewatching them) after you've seen the full season is so rewarding. I'm not sure if you're one to watch other people's reactions, but I'd highly recommend it once you're done the series. If you still have the emotional stamina and aren't ready to die, that is, it sounds like this episode nearly did you in :p I'm really glad you're picking up on the little nuances of writing, definitely looking forward to chatting about it after you finish the season :D
