33 - Vassago aka Vsagoo, Usagoo - Appears in Book of Incantations, Book of Treasure Spirits, The Book of the Office of Spirits, The Book of Oberon, and The Lesser Key of Solomon
From the Lesser Key
The Third spirit is a mighty prince, being of ye same Nature as Agares, he is called Vassago, This spirit is of a good nature, & his office is to declare things past and to come; and to discover all things hidden or lost &c: he governeth 26 Legions of spirits. This is his seal.
From the Libre Officorum / Book of Oberon
70 Vsagoo,83 magnus preses, he appeareth like an Aungell & is Just & true, in all his doeinges, he giveth the love of woemen, & telleth of hidd treasures, & hath under him 20 legions.
Appearance: Angelic, possibly riding on a crocodile similar to Agares.
Subrace: Cambion
Abilities: Divination and Retrieval.
Legions: 26
Rank: Prince
Notes: Not in PD, first appearing in LK, but supposedly mentioned in the OSS. Able to locate lost things. Described as good natured, and similar to Agares by Thomas Rudd. Mentioned in Sloane MS 3824. The “Experiment of Vassago” and the “Experiment of Agares” are both said to be able to capture spirits in crystal. This is likely a part of the processing of the damned that involved bifrons murmur and bune. This also brings up the title of Prince in an infernal context. My first thought is due to the number of princes, seven, which would imply that each one has some tie to a particular deadly sin. I will return to this idea once I have explored every prince.
Brand of the Keeper - The marked is able to bind spirits of creatures into crystal.
