FROM DICTIONIARE INFERNALE
Marquis et comte de l’enfer, qui apparaît sous la forme d’un monstre; il donne a ses adeptes la connaissance des langages et la bienveillance de tout le monde. Dix-neuf cohortes infernales sont sous ses ordres. (nearly identical in translation to the above)
Appearance: “A monster” Le breton draws him like a little goblin man. All depictions have him carrying a staff, which seems to be important to him.
Subrace: Cambion
Abilities: Rhetoric and language
Legions: 19
Rank: Marquis
Notes: Gives skill with rhetoric, faithful servants. Favor of friends and foe. Dictionairre infernal depicts him as carrying a stick. The wikipedia details “He is also described as taker of old souls; often coming to earth to harvest souls of decrepit humans and animals near death.” Although I could find no official source for this. The popular canon surrounding Roneve seems to paint him as a sort of elderly being of good humor, and interestingly enough, preferring the name “Ben.”
There is precious little in the way of canonical information about this demon. I am inclined to lean into Roneve’s association with the elderly. It makes sense, given that the majority of hells souls are likely elderly. Perhaps he is given special administration over them? What are the effects of age in hell? I would imagine that the consequences of age are removed only when it increases the suffering of the damned in some fashion. Feeble limbs are strengthened but only to the point where they can barely maintain the burdens of greed, or struggle against the filth of gluttony.
Perhaps Roneve is the first demon many damned meet after recieving their judgement from the shade of king minos? A demon that washes away the pains of age, but only to increase their suffering?
Brand of the Orderly - The marked is able to siphon and inject age from any object they touch. One can siphon time from a flower to revert it back to a seed, and inject it into another to age it to dust. One must be careful, as holding a debt or surplus of time causes the soul of the marked to become unstable, and slowly eats away at their lifespan.
