Your opinion about splitting updates into two

What do you think about splitting an update into two updates? Monica's update was a given since she has two completely different routes, but let's take as another example the update with Jennifer: we release the whole introduction phase up to the art contest event in order to logically put a break on her main storyline for that particular moment.
The question is: do you prefer to wait and play multiple consecutive updates about one girl (the same example again: Jen's introduction in the first update, then the conclusion of her main route in the following month) or receive what we were able to fit into an update in 1-2 months and then there will be the next girl in the line?
