October Patron Spotlight!

I'm excited to share our October Patron spotlights (and sorry that they're coming so late!) Make sure to leave some nice comments for your fellow Patrons, and if you want to submit your own work for November’s spotlight, please use this form.

Craftsmanship Competition

by Personify Cosplay

Ginny's note: Congratulations on your win!! And clearly well-deserved, what an absolutely beautiful, detailed build!

I took a big leap and competed in my very first craftsmanship contest at NDK this year. I was able to place best in my category and I am super proud!
Character: Kaedehara Kazuha from Genshin Impact Photo by Yuki Cat Captures

Clostober

by Elora Kay

Ginny's note: This is such a fun way to use up your stash and tackle some quick costumes!! I think my favorite might be Mrs. White from Clue β€” so classic!!

31 days of Halloween aka "Clostober". An attempt at 31 brand new costumes pulled from my closet/fabric stash.

Bucky Art

by Kit / Pundawan

Ginny's Note: I always love seeing your art submissions for the Spotlight, but this is absolutely NEXT LEVEL!! You can see how hard you've been working to refine your craft!

A digital painting study of Bucky Barnes that I'm really proud of! I've learnt much & have been excited about the direction my artwork is taking. :)
Character: James 'Bucky' Barnes / Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) - MARVEL

Harrowhark Cosplay

by Fairys Tailor

Ginny's Note: Yessss, Ninth House represent!! I checked out more pics on Twitter and I love that you did the entire spine!! Amazing work!

I finished my cosplay of Harrowhark Nonagesimus from the Locked Tomb series. I spent hours on this cosplay, and it's the fourth I have ever made. I'm really proud of it.
Character: Harrowhark Nonagesimus a.k.a. Harrow the Ninth

A Month of Costumes

by Sean Quinn

Ginny's note: WOW, sounds like you had a super busy month! Congratulations on all your accomplishments, and your ongoing Halloween challenge streak!!

This is the 4th year I have completed my Halloween challenge of doing a costume everyday of the month with this final girl as the final post with my partner lending a helping hand as Jason. AND I was still able to do a whole slew of Halloween activities, start a new job, make two costumes and one commission, and do my first collaboration cosplay photo shoot! Now to sleep all Nov!
Character: Jason Voorhies and Camp Counselor from Friday the 13th
@maxgrammatta as Jason

Thank you for the lovely note on my work, Ginny! Seeing that made my morning :) It means a lot to hear that you actually look forward to what I submit for the Spotlight. Everyone's submissions are fantastic! Definitely inspire me with my own cosplay projects. Very cool!

Kon [Pundawan]

Yeah, see... this is why I should stop commenting on pictures at work, on my phone... I mean I'm terrible with faces anyway, but if I'd had time to read everything before having a flashback to my childhood and falling in love yet again with Betty Rubble... well to make a long story short I wouldn't feel as dumb as I do now. Thank you for commenting, otherwise I would have gone through life thinking, "Oh Ginny Di is so lovely dressed as Betty Rubble.." Then if I'd ever met you at a convention I might have shoved my gargantuan foot directly into my fast talking mouth.

Don't feel too bad, I painted and detailed an entire back plate before realizing it was gonna be hidden under a cape πŸ˜…

Ginny Di

Thanks, but yeah I realized the same thing you did. The spine is cool, but it doesn't show up, especially if you add the cape (which I didn't cause it's summer here and hot)

Fairystail

That's Elora Kay (who absolutely makes a lovely Betty!!)

Ginny Di

I never thought of it, but color me surprised, you make a lovely Betty Rubble.

Ahh thank you so much!

These are all so awesome. Thanks for sharing!
