D&D In a Castle

HELLO FRIENDS! I'm back in the states and thrilled to be able to plug everything directly into outlets again, but already feeling melancholy after my amazing experience at D&D in a Castle last week!

For those of you who missed it (I didn't really make any big announcement or anything), I was a "celebrity DM" at this event, in which a bunch of people stay in a castle in England (Lumley Castle, in County Durham, which has been converted into a luxury hotel) and play D&D nonstop for three days.

Being grouped with all the incredible pro DMs at this event was a wild experience for me, someone who had, before this week, only DMed for personal friends. Thankfully my table was the absolute most incredible group of wholesome, kind, generous people who were all 100% dedicated to making sure we all had a wonderful time. I was (naturally) very anxious going into this, but I can't imagine a better or more supportive table to be by my side through that feeling!

We played D&D for about 8 hours a day, and when I wasn't frantically prepping in between sessions, we also got to do some fun activities like archery, axe throwing, and falconry, which is where I met that absolutely adorable bundle of feathers that is Heidie the barn owl (oh god, do I want to play a ranger now???)

Josh came along and filmed the entire time, so once I've sorted through all that footage, there will be a full video about the experience. Meanwhile, I know it's the end of the month and I have once again been out of town for the tail end of it, so you can expect some catch-up Patreon reward posts over the next few days!
