If you’re wondering where I’ve been—this is where I’ve been! Drawing over 30 pieces for the next release. Hoo, boy! This was a big one… But I think they turned out pretty good! Compared to the first two books, for this one, I’ve really gotten to lean into doing kore greyscale, which is obviously a metaphor for Fennrick’s perspective broadening to become less black-and-white. I’m not entirely sure why I decided to not have Fennrick feature in most of the art, I think it was really just to show that he’s less focused on himself, and more so allowing the people around him to be characters in their own right rather than empty mobs. Maybe! Honestly I could do awhole spiel about the thought process behind each piece, but I’ve been sick with tonsil-ouchies for like a week now and combined with my academic work I ain’t got the brain power. Think it through! Why does the book start with an image of Fennrick dissecting himself? Who knows! I’m sure there’s an answer, though.
Also, on that note, I sure hope that one patreon who wanted Fennrick drawn as a vitruvian man is happy… Been a while since that reauest…
On a slightly different note, I think I’ll have more time to write soon, so I’ll hopefully be able to post more within some time! Hopefully!!
