Iceberg Effect - Part 8

A silver Tesla pulled up in front of Clarissa’s place. Out stepped a tall dark haired gentleman. He wore a dark suit, and walked with an air of confidence that not many others did. *Ring*Ring* The doorbell sounded. The door flung open revealing Clarissa, wearing a well form fitting dress, matching the level of sophistication of her suitor. Clarissa’s wide hips flared out to each side, pulling the fabric tauter than normal, showing off her developing pear shaped physique.

Earlier that night as Clarissa prepared for her date, she put on the dress, admiring how it hugged her new curves. Yes she had been traditionally beautiful all her life, and these extra curves were new, but she saw them as a good thing. Men liked curves, especially the right men, wealthy men. They liked excess money, and excess booty. Her extra pounds were to be celebrated, not discouraged. In her eyes she was only more attractive now than ever before.

“Clarissa, you look even more stunning than I pictured.” He said in a deep tone. Clarissa smiled, and took his hand as he walked her back to his car.

*Ooo* Clarissa cooed, seeing her date's car. “Sorry the BMW is in the shop, so I had to take the Tesla tonight. Better for the environment or something though, right?” Clarissa giggled as this kinda half joke. But in her head she was thinking about how deep this guy's pockets must be to own two luxury cars.

Soon she was whisked off to Chateau de Mossimo, the nicest restaurant in town, one she had been wanting to go to, but no date thus far had taken her to. The valet took their car, as her date led them into the restaurant. The host greeted them, recognizing her date. “Mr. Dupont, a pleasure sir. Right this way to your table.” Two cars and connected, Clarissa could get used to this.

At their table they got to know each other a bit more as their server brought them sparkling water and a glass of wine. “Clarissa, you are just enchanting.” He said with a sincere smile. Clarissa had a way of just wooing people right away, she just had that special something. But she was having just as good a time as he seemed to be. The atmosphere, the wine, this was everything Clarissa had hoped it would be when she dreamed about dining here. And if she kept this one around she figured she’d be able to eat here with some regularity.

With the house special ordered for each of them, they flirted, gazing into each other's eyes, holding hands across the table, as their date counted on. With more layers of the onion unfolding about her date as their conversation went on, Clarissa couldn’t help but be more enraptured. He has a villa in the Mediterranean, and owns one of the nicest houses on the coast here in town. He owns several businesses, but spends most of his time on leisure activities, like golfing and boating. She wondered why someone this alluring wasn’t already tied down. They were both still young, but still several of Clarissa’s friends had tied the knot over the years, and anyone would be foolish to let someone like this slip through their fingers. He explained though that he had been enjoying his 20’s, lavishly traveling the world, throwing parties, and not interested in settling down. That was until now. Now he was on the hunt for someone special to settle down with, and he might have just found that match.

With dinner complete, their waiter asked if any dessert was to be served. The couple looked at each other, and with a smile he said. “Order whatever you’d like my dear.” Clarissa was filled with glee, ordering the tiramisu and the peach cobbler, not able to decide between them both. She happily ate both sweets once they arrived though.

Clarissa had been on many dates recently, searching for someone that was right for her. She had made excuses after each date to continue her search and not settle down. After this date, Clarissa wasn’t making excuses anymore, instead she was making plans to see him again.
