Patreon Update

Hello there dearest patrons! This winter is bringing with it many changes, including a big and desperately needed update to Patreon. I've long been neglecting the obvious shift in how content creation is financed. Partially because I overloaded myself with work, and partially because I'm an elder millennial and the internet is changing and I'm stubborn. -_-

Anyway, the update does away with the "support your show for your favorite show" model, and brings in a more traditional Patreon approach. New levels of support come with new perks, and with one problem. So poorly had I designed the last set of perks, that in reworking everything the Patreon / Discord connection got mucked up. You may have to reselect a tier to resync Patreon and Discord. I'd do it for you myself if I could.

Anyway, on to the new tiers and perks!

There's a critical feedback level, where you can leave your questions here during the week and we'll get to them at the top of the show (if you can't make it, or want to write down your questions when you have them instead of remembering them for the live show.)

There's an "enthusiastic supporter" level where I can post works in progress, half finished ideas, musingins on classes, mechanics, and the sort. The type of stuff I'd love to share with people, but the internet makes difficult to because it distracts from the process when so many people are talking about it. There's a post up right now that has a screenshot of the OG Arcadia with just a sentences that strings together my thought process and areas of concern.

There's a Producer level that gives access to the once secret Producers Corner. It's still secret in that you have to be a Producer level patron to access, but now people know it exists, so that's different. There we talk about what's happening on an institutional level. It has notes from meetings, ideas about merch, and how RegalGoblins functions as an organization. Very little D&D there, mostly back end production stuff. Producer input carries weight.

Lastly there's the Credited Producer level. These people are amazing and I am proud to list their names next to mine on credits. Being a Credited Producer comes with the sort of soft perks that major backers get.

So that's what's up with Patreon!
