Discussions amongst the gods when creating the world.
Added 2022-12-24 19:13:33 +0000 UTCWhen I'm trying to sort out the how and why of things, it's often useful to me to write out the perspective and conversation of the gods in building things. These conversations aren't cannon and have no place in the history of the world, but it does help me organize my thoughts.
The following is an example of the world making process, a bit of back and forth regarding the interplay of deities on setting up the world. As I said before, this stuff isn't cannon, it's not how the gods communicate, it's not what their voices sound like, but it's a painting of a blurry picture seen from a distance. The full document is ~12 pages long, so I'm just providing the first few paragraphs as an example.
Internal notes like this are very rough and not for publication. Keep them secret, keep them safe.

Astair wants civilized creatures to rule the land.
Malkis wants to try all sorts of things and sees what sticks, wanting wildly different terrain types and to give the civilized creatures equal space to others - that is if there are 5 civilized races and 30 uncivilized, the area where creatures start should only have 5/30 of the land (1/6) covered by them.
Martha is too busy making all the life to pay much attention to this argument. It seems silly to pick favorites… as she spends an inordinate amount of time shaping elves just the way she likes them.
Voraci is too busy working hand in hand with Martha to make everything, only working on the back end of a circular soul system that allows future generations to learn from the past while maintaining a closed loop of energy so there aren’t any run away problems like last time.
Nadinis looks up from the table and says, “what the hell guys, you’re making all these apex creatures, if you don’t give the rest of the food chain space this whole thing is going to fall apart. 90% of this place is dedicated to the rest of the food chain”.
Astair and Malkis agree.
Tempos says, “It’s not about how things start off, it’s about what we do with them and how we shape them that matters most.”
The younger brothers both reply, "shut up, stoner".
Tempos shakes his head. He suggests that if Astair is so sure his way is right, he won’t need that much space since his favorite creatures will inevitably spread and reminds him that the more room Malkis has for his strange creations, the more times he can be proven wrong.
Astair is pleased by this and agrees to take a small area.
