Roll20 Token Status Effects Assets

On one of our recent streams, we made some status effects for Roll20. The link above is to the RegalGoblin's Toolbox page where you can find the "Roll20 Token Status Effects Download". This is a .rar file that when unpacked has the AC tokens we made on stream, plus the other ones I've been using for a time. I'm also attaching the .rar file here, but as I add thing to the sets this file will get outdated and the link to the toolbox will continue to be up to date. Let's quickly talk about what we've got here and how to use them.

Set 1: 5e Conditions
These cover the basic 5e statuses. Exhaustion isn't included here since it has multiple stages and usually doesn't apply to enemies in combat. Also included are Concentration, Death Save Failed, Death Save Passed, and Inspired tokens.

Set 2: AC
These tokens come with icons for AC 8-30. These can be placed on enemy tokens so your players can tell what their AC is without having to ask or remember. It's an usual thing to add AC information for enemies, but I think there's a lot of value in doing so, especially if you want a more tactical game or a more heroic game. Giving players more information allows them to make better decisions, which sometimes you want and sometimes you want to deny. When used in roll20, you should tag one token with the appropriate AC, then use that as the default token for the character/monster sheet so whenever you drag the token from your journal it comes with the AC already set.

Set 3: Character Effects
These are a hodgepodge of things that might be useful in some situations. I tend not to get a lot of use out of them, but they're nice to have when you need them.

Set 4: Spell Effects
These are some common spell effects that can be found in 2e and 5e D&D. There certainly could be more, and as time goes on I'll probably add more, but for now these cover the classic spell effects people get hit with.

Adding Tokens Status Effects to Roll20
From the linked website, the Regalgoblins Toolbox, find the link entitled "Roll20 Token Status Effects Download". Download this .rar file and

In roll20, go to the tools drop down, then to the Token Marker Library subdirectory. From here it's fairly straight forward. Make a set, drop the desired files into the set, hit upload. You'll find 4 different folders in the .rar which I put into 4 different sets.

To add the tokens to your game, you'll need to be the DM/GM of the game and go to the game overview page - the screen from which you can get the invite link. Just below the player section of the screen you'll see a Token Marker Set section. You can add the sets that you made in the above step and even remove the default ones if you want (they can be added back later).

You can also drag-n-drop the order of the token markers sets to change the order they show up in game. I like to go > 5e Conditions > Spell Effects > Character Effects > AC Markers

Hope you find these useful. If you want to make your own tokens status markers you can find a lot of useful images at https://game-icons.net/. I recommend making your icons in the 512px x 512px size and using simple designs.

Good luck, have fun!
