Updated Roll20 Tokens Status Effects

Hey there Patrons

Many moons ago I made a post talking about the Roll20 Token Status Effects, saying something about "I will make changes to these in the future and provide you with the updated one". Well, that's what we're doing today.

Attached, and linked here for redundancy, are the TSE icons I've made and am using. Let's talk about changes!

AC
Changed the outlines to be darker, did some slight repositioning of numbers (you won't notice but I feel better now), and included AC 5-7. If you're playing a game that doesn't have AC numbers below 10, or below 8 (another common breaking point), then there's no reason to use all the assets. Similarly, if you're playing a bunch of low level games, you can just use AC numbers 8-20, and skip the later ones.

Character Effects
Added Acid, Archer, Buffed, Debuffed, Flying, and Routed. Of these, I think Archer is the best. It can be really easy to forget, as a DM or player, which people are ranged warriors and which ones are not if they're all using the same token. Bandits, for example, might all have the same token, but some are pulling out melee weapons and some are pulling out bows, so such a token will help keep straight who is who.

Spell Effects
Added Fear, Resistance, and Vision Enhanced. The fear icon is the same as the routed one, but is here to differentiate magical fear from morale failing. Resistance was added for times that someone is buffed with something like a Potion of Resist Poison. I didn't wanna make a token for each type of resistance (when would we ever stop?), so just one overall "this character has some sort of magical resistance going on" will do. You could just use the magic armor icon, but it's not unlikely that a character with one might have the other. It can also be used in conjunction with Magic Armor to show multiple spell buffs on someone if you really want.

5e Conditions
No updates

Adding Tokens Status Effects to Roll20
Download the .rar file that is attached, linked below, or on the RegalGoblins Toolbox.

In roll20, go to the tools drop down, then to the Token Marker Library subdirectory. From here it's fairly straight forward. Make a set, drop the desired files into the set, hit upload. You'll find 4 different folders in the .rar which I put into 4 different sets.

To add the tokens to your game, you'll need to be the DM/GM of the game and go to the game overview page - the screen from which you can get the invite link. Just below the player section of the screen you'll see a Token Marker Set section. You can add the sets that you made in the above step and even remove the default ones if you want (they can be added back later).

You can also drag-n-drop the order of the token markers sets to change the order they show up in game. I like to go > 5e Conditions > Spell Effects > Character Effects > AC Markers

Other Notes
That's it for this week. I'll be in and out of town rather a lot in the coming weeks and prioritizing running campaigns over making Patreon posts, but we'll be back here in September with more information, especially about Rise of Drekis and Save or Die: Outcast!
