Born of Black and Blue [Chapter 47]

Alternative Title: In which I make a Flashback.

Heeeeey, there! So - instead of making a smaller chapter I just incorporated the scene into the first part of this one, lmao.

Also, I feel the need to explain some things:

• First, Gabriel managing to teach kids the Patronus is not because he's smort and everyone else is dumb, it's an effect of his Perks - and I just noticed I never released them here, holy shit am I dumb - specifically [Shield of Love] and [Another Half-Blood Prince].

• Second, I'll change the end of the last chapter so instead of Harry being 'the last of the third years to manage the patronus' he's 'the one who was closest to managing it'. Because even with my point above, doing that in just a month is still a bit absurd.

• Third, both Harry and Ginny almost punched Gabriel in the face after the events of the Flashback. Because he let their friends/brothers be in danger just so Harry could manage the spell. Bothe are still thankful, and Ginny only realized what she was doing by going along with the plan midway through it, but they werre pissed. Gabriel would have interfered had Harry actually failed though - and Dubledore wouldn't have let the worst come to pass.

• And fourth! This whole scene with the Quidditch game was a lot closer to the movie version than the books version - and that's because I find the flying Dementors to be just cooler and scarier than the float-a-few-feet Dementors of the book. This is an AU mixing all sorts of canon and my own headcanon, so please try not to get to bothered by it.
