Might be late, but as someone with experience in pro audio, the acoustics and technique matter more than the mic. As someone mentioned, the 2035 is decent, but any condenser will suffice for this, tbh--even relatively cheap ones. I'd refrain from omnidirectionals, however. An omni will eliminate the "up close and personal" proximity effect that makes your audio stand out. Glad to say you've already got great sound quality, though! I'd like to add that for anyone not in a controlled studio, the "subtract" mode in this will go further than any microphone: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/reafir_by_cockos Hope this wasn't too much, and that it was helpful.

When you decide on a particular model, I would think there'd be some Patrons who'd like to donate specifically for a microphone and/or other hardware. Not trying to speak for the group -and feel free to correct me- but I find it rewarding to know I donated to purchase a physical item, in addition to a regular monthly pledge. I'd be good for a few hundred, though I realize some mics can cost several thousand. Just a thought. -'bridge

Not really heaps of people use the 3dio and still make amazing stories? Also with the 3dio you can have multiple characters one in each ear makes for very good story telling

I don't think you should use 3d mic. It will change everything. You will start to focus on tingles instead of stories or characters but I like your style of audios.

I can’t recommend the blue yeti enough, and it doesn’t require any fancy setup. It is literally plug in and use

I see a lot of AMSR and recording artists using the 3dio binaraul microphone. It better replicates spacial aspects of the audio than a single receiver microphone seems to. Things like hearing things on your left side vs right side and how close they are to you.

I think the 3dio is a really good microphone. Ive never created asmr but just from listening to heaps of different creators using different mics the 3dio seems to stick out in terms of quality.
