2020-09-07 21:49:27 +0000 UTCIts incredibly difficult to be an honest to god nice guy, I just enjoy helping people out and making them feel good. I feel good when other people feel good. That being said, it's a niche group of girls that are looking for a kind, soft, and caring, but still man's man kind of guy. They are just very rare. So odds are most of us wont find one till our vital days are gone. I'm 23 and I havent even had a proper romantic relationship yet. Still plenty of time, I know, but it feels like its dwindling fast, and that lends alot of nihilism and pessimism in all aspects of life. At this point I'm being a nice guy for my own self esteem, so I can look in the mirror and be proud of myself. But, it does in fact seem like me vs the world constantly.

Now that I'm older, I come to the realization that yeah, nice guys do finish last, because you'd have to be an asshole to treat a relationship like a competition.
