So, I literally just realised that it’s Valentine’s Day today! As such I just wanted to spread some positive facts and help debunk this truly unimportant holiday!

Valentine’s Day is a way for big companies to make a lot of money! Repeat: Valentine’s Day is a way for big companies to make a lot of money!
I’m a married woman who is truly in love with her husband and we are doing absolutely nothing for Valentine’s (and we really never have before). Know why? Because it means fudge all! Things like holidays and marked occasions really shouldn’t be treated as these intense life-altering experiences. Mainly because they very rarely are. They are simply just days like any other.
So, please, please, please - do not let this silly marketing scheme make you feel anything remotely deep. It is a cash grab incentive and it means absolutely nothing!
Now that that’s out of the way, you have yourself a really nice day. Treat yourself and others kindly, remember to stay hydrated and buy yourself some chocolate for tonight! You absolutely deserve it!

Granted, it's nice to see the snow falling (although we rarely have one around this time of year), listening to Christmas songs and just dwell in the mood. ...if it were not for those neighbours who have more lights around their house than the nearest major Airport and the commercials trying to forcefully sell me stuff. But hey, these are just my Two Cents. And i'm Single so i don't give a about Valentine's Day ^^

2020-02-14 16:09:59 +0000 UTCFor years I was so bitter when Valentines Day came around especially in high school. it took me a while to realize it's just a cashgrab holiday where it makes you buy your boyfriend/girlfriend some cheap gift and has (not intentionaly) made single people feel worthless because they don't have anyone. As someone who yurns for a lover but feels like he can't get one because of his visual disability I've lightened up about it..
