To be fair they go that direction cause thats what is usually associated with them, or commonly associated with them. Yandere roughly means "mentally sick and in love". While there are some cases and writing of Yanderes that are maybe a bit broken but still the fine, the sad truth is most are delusional, hyper jealous, abusive, or out right sick in the head to the point they are a danger for not only themself, others around them, but also the target of their affection. Like I said some can be harmless and I get the somewhat appeal of being madly wanted by someone, but it always seemed like a bad deal cause one crossed wire and suddenly going to the grocery store is them thinking you're cheating on them leading to violence.
