💙 Having Mental Health Issues Doesn't Mean You're Crazy 💙 [It Just Means You're Human]

Everyone struggles with their mental health.

Don't ever let anyone make you feel like you're crazy because of that.

It's human. It's natural. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

Please take care and don't let people drag you down.

Love and safety to you and your families,

Tea

And often, those mental health issues can be traced back to what OTHER people have done to you, even if you've blocked it out, or if you thought it was "normal" or "not that bad." You cannot compare your experiences to others who "had it worse" because that's not how the brain works. New research is showing that some mental health issues we thought of as congenital are in fact the brain's attempts to protect itself from early trauma. I struggle every day to just love myself and acknowledge that environment and the actions of others contributed to where I am right now. Mental health issues are NOT your fault, and deserve no more derision than a physical injury or disability. In fact, fMRI studies are suggesting that many mental health issues are forms of brain injury.

Thanks Tea. If there's two things that have made me miserable this last year, College and COVID. Horrible combo.

I’m happy all of you are happy (Not sarcasm) I’ve not been so fortunate and everytime I open up everyone runs away or lies an says they’ll be there. Stay strong everyone! Do what I can’t

And there she goes, being a whole heaping helping of positivity. Seriously though, thank you for these positive posts Tea.

Recently my anxiety has been getting worse. Ever since I came out and told my friends my issues, they've been very supportive. I really wish I could say the same about my family. My sister is the only one who listens. As previous users have mentioned, music makes a difference during your lowest points. Ever since finding tea I've been able to sleep better and be more open to those around me.

Treat a mental health issue like a broken bone or a cut, nothing to be ashamed of just seek treatment and heal from it (easier said than done of course)

I love your positivity segments. So calming and reassuring.

Music in general can really help. I have bad social anxiety but listening to my favourite songs helps me to tune out the voices in my head and let's me socialise and do things in public, like buying something or just walking through town, more easily.

I worked for 5.5 years in mental health. Some of the folks were really cool. Really a different world.

Thanks Tea, this means so much

In addition to that, try not to drag yourself down.

Oh I know I'm crazy and I embrace it fully. So do the other voices in my head. Even that one which likes to have really stupid ideas.

But I am crazy.

If anyone is having mental health issues, and feeling angry, depressed, or just plain not feeling right, I actually suggest listening to metal. For me personally, it helps me regulate my emotions, and I always feel better after a session of listening. Of course I'm not a psychologist, and metal may very well not work, or even make things worse, so listen at your own discretion. I just wanted to share what helps me personally. The band "Wage War" and their album "Deadweight" has gotten me through the lowest points of my life. Specifically their song "Witness"
