In Kira's case, fur colour only matters if it's different from Fel and her people the Sekarri, i've linked a post showing what the Sekarri look like. In the game, some of the characters (Main ones) you can switch between Demi (half) and Anthro form. Most will be Anthro, but the close characters I appreciate some players would prefer a more demi style.
