What type of Strategy do you prefer?

Apologise if this is a bit too long of a post.

I'm early enough in development I could pivot to either (i've done this before a lot!)

Full RTS means like Starcraft, Command and Conquer etc

Turn based means like Civiization, FF tactics, Fire Emblem etc

Whilst I have the RTS basics all done, a few people have suggested I switch to a tactics style game. Building a Turn Based strategy has advantages:

- 50% less dev time

- Easier to immerse with CGI, Visual Novel scenes 

- Lets me complete the first version of entire game more quickly

- I can always add the Full RTS as default at the end.

Turn based cons are:

- You lose all sense of urgency (other than say using a timer)

- Its a totally different vibe, Blitzkreigs and rushes change from being an intense struggle to a drawn out (but tense event).

- Easier for stalemates .

- Potential to drag on unless done right.

Note, the RTS has one huge thing going for it - the sense of immersion, flow and dynamism is a lot more compelling. I have that done, so i might mock up a Turn based and compare the two for you guys to look at.
