I loved the whole banter she has with you. Her voice behaviour isn't because of AI TTL but it's how I designed her cadence, i wanted those pauses and those intonations.
Because I was feeling a bit down...
I went and compared my early screens (such as this) with completed top selling games like I Wanna. Other than FMV cut scenes (which we will have plenty off) - I'd say i'm well on track. A lot of these type games don't even have talking animations, and very few pose variations.
These games don't have the additional game modes i've got (RTS, Explorer, Mingames ????? and Extra 2 modes i've yet to reveal - which will be BIG) , i.e. they have a team, money and focused completely on the Visual Novel, and I think my game still competes just on that mode alone. So rather than be down, i'm more encouraged.
I know that seems a little ranty, but I got some heat recently - and personally i'm not letting it get me down, as a solo Dev, I think i'm killing it. (BTW, I get 3 months off in July, there is a GOOD CHANCE, I might complete the game or at least get a first pass done).
Latest Teeny Update: RTS placement mechanics done, rules etc. I'm improving on path finding just now, then AI logic to be completed this week.. then its on to testing before returning to polish Demo 1.
Steam: Should I create a steam page now? And start to put some screens and video content? Or wait until the Demo is ready (my original plan was to wait for the demo).
