Comments

I couldn't find where to leave a comment for 5x5 (Tanks for the Memories), so I suppose leaving it here is close enough. A lot of people have noticed in that episode that the whole thing was an allegory for death, probably because hibernation is the closest thing Hasbro would allow them to talk about. Rainbow Dash in fact goes through the popular 5 stages of grief. She starts by being in Denial about the fact that Tank needs to hibernate, claiming that it was a prank that the book about it had a picture of a tortoise in it. Then she experiences Anger, blowing up on Pinkie Pie for saying the word "hibernate" and even glaring at the rest of her friends. Her form of Bargaining was trying to put a stop to winter altogether, and when that doesn't work, she goes into Depression, seemingly not caring about anything her friends had to say. And by the end of the episode, she finally reaches Acceptance, even helping Tank be buried underground and reading him a bedtime story. If this truly was what the writers were intending, I think it's an absolutely brilliant way to tackle the subject of loss on a children's show, and yet another example of the show not talking to down to the audience.

Sharing Heart

A lot of people think Trouble Shoes it's an actual Horse because of his unusually Big Size (Seriously, the guy is HUGE, he's technically taller than Celestia if you don't count her Horn) but he's just a Pony like everybody else (confirmed by the crew if the show). Also... This is a good example of the Crusaders being really good at helping others with their Cutie Marks, even if they themselves aren't able to get theirs xddd.
