Book 2/25 - Power VI

Ring - 7th
Realm - RACK OF LIFE

RACKEL'S POV

Being a Magi was hard. Being an Elder Magi was nearly impossible. As children of Primordials, the Primordial Magi to be exact, we did not have the limitations of the realm dwellers or even mortals. Our learning was infinite, and our capabilities and affinities were broad. Unlike the Galean, we did not need to master and learn. one element. We could do it all.

I looked away from the scroll I held and down to the pavilion below. Students filled the ground below me in groups, sitting, standing or lying. All trying to attune to their elements the best way they felt. Galeans were elemental Humanoids due to their mastery and how attuned they could get to it. Every single Galean was attuned to a single element. The more improved a Galean's skill and control over it became, the more their features took on the elements.

Zurik had silver hair and an eye of grey with clouds within. He'd mastered his element and even deviated into storms and harnessed the power of the lightning it brought.

He'd mastered both elements, and it's a sub to the extent he'd become the High Master of this monastery. Now, I was trying to push through into the earth's elements. To be a Magi meant being one with your magic. In the car of the Galeans, it was literal.

My new Way of the Behemoth had opened up a new avenue for that. One that I believed would be more effective once I learned more earth magic. I held a beginner scroll, which was very wordy and different from the one I had. For one, there was no personal message from Tora, which meant my Grimoire was special—Atleast amongst us Elder Magis.

**Akash: Embrace of Zeus**
The Embrace of Zeus is a fundamental earth Akash that allows the caster to draw energy from the Primordial Behemoth to manipulate the Primal Elements of existence. This Akash is a base one that can be used to master thr Akash of the Primal Elements**

This was something the Galean needed to be able to utilise the elements. While it granted them control over the elements, it wasn't what was required to master the elements themselves. 'But of course, one could increase their manipulation of the Primordial Behemoth's energy".

That was what I wanted to do. I could only imagine thr strength of Wizard Fire coupled with my new mastery of this spell and even more my faith and fate points.

I ignored the memory of the Fate Records unlocking after my Behemoth cultivation. 'Wait. Behemoth Cultivation'. That sealed any thoughts of learning this. I focused on the following words and read them.

Broad affinities and power didn't mean learning and using a spell was easy. This one itself was hard. Reading the instructions meant nothing when I didn't understand how or what to begin with. I stared at it for a long while.

"Might as well try". I rolled up the scroll and descended to the ground. Almighty Hold held my body from hitting the ground with force, dropping me softly. The less enthralled students in their studying stared at me with wide eyes. A day wasn't enough time to get me used to this. I was getting half the same treatment. The bilgers in the mortal realm didn't prepare me for all—the staring, awe and fawning.

'He didn't have to announce who or what I was'.

Leaving the monastery wasn't hard. It was getting into its more secured sanctums that were annoyingly difficult. Fortunately, being an Elder gave me a free pass.

The sanctum was a dark room beneath the monastery where six statues where seven statues were displayed. Each was a rendition of the Primordials who had aired us the Elders. I stopped in front of the statue of Tora—my in-game Mother. 'Still feels weird to say or think'.

I was crossing all. Of them, I moved to the first statue. Zurich had shared something with me. Something only the leaders of monasteries or cities within the realm knew. It was essential to understand where power came from. To further deepen one to it. Atleast in the case of the Galatians. This was why they'd been told about the seventh existence.

Zurich had been sure it wasn't a secret exactly. The secrecy, though, was something that was kept. He stared up at the Primordial standing next to a horse. I pulled out the scroll I held and then up to the horse. I traced the symbol on the scroll in my hand and then compared it to the one on the statue's head.

"It's the same". I kept my thoughts to myself since I had yet to know how petty or not petty the Primordials were. To me, they were the gods of this universe. While I was a god/Elder, it didn't matter when they curbed the d stoma. Me. Plus, their being my parents made it more challenging.

I shook my head and turned away to look around the sanctum. There were various cycles around the room. Each bore a mark to emphasise which Primordial's circle it was—the Galean's way of tapping into the primal forces of the universe. "Considering I've only seen Four elements, it's safe to say the other Primordials are not wager to hand out elements".

"Uncles". I jumped at the voice, turning to see the statue of Tora looking right at me—green gems twinkling with an otherworldly light. "Your uncles and aunt. Don't be disrespectful, child". The statue took a step forward, grey energy flowing all. Over and around it. Then she waved her hand at the room entrance, and the door slid shut.

" I'm not having them believing in you due to me". Stone's lips smiled. " It won't be that easy".

"Huh". I didn't get it, but the amusement and annoyance in my eyes told me the words were not meant for me.

"Come, child". She waved her hands, and the ground rose despite the circles. Then her lips moved. The sound was Eldritch and buzzare. The earth twisted and became seats and a table. Taking one, she smiled at me as she waved a s tray of cups, and a kettle appeared. "Sir".

'Oh boy'.

I found my ass on the chair, and I jumped. 'Did she just teleport me?'. I looked at her, and she smiled. He eyed were now a wicked grin gleam.

"Alright, son. I don't have time. I still need to figure out how to approach your siblings without showing myself".

"Why?". She gave an exasperated look.

"The last time I was down here, the cities threw a realm-wide party, and then their leaders came after me to ask for the secrets to whatever". Her expression changed to amusement. "Now I'm sure they'll be asking why the pillars went down. And then I'll have to tell them it's yours to reopen it". Her lips twitched. I gulped as I saw her point.

"Enough of that. I'm here to offer advice". She finally reached for the kettle. Lifting it, she slowly and meticulously poured hot steaming liquid for me. "I hope you're not a mess guy?". She raised her left eyebrow. I sensed danger—the simple question.

'Wvwn Primordial women are hard to understand '. I shook my head. Her face became full—a blown smile.

"Good. You wouldn't want to become an alcoholic like your Big Uncle. Those Denners have spoilt him. I'm sure they're also doing the same to your cousins*.

I swallowed as she poured out the final cup and set the kettle down. Grabbing my, she handed it to me. I reached for it and took it. She took hers and settled backwards.

"You said...you have advice".

"Hmmh". She sipped her tea made a refreshed face and set down the cup. "Yes. I did. But I find it boring. Ho about this. You ask me Five questions. That's fair right. Yes five, and I'll answer them. For any of your questions that I can't answer or just won't. I'll give you compensation". She smiled.

"Will.yoi be repeating this to all your children?".

"Your siblings. Nah. I'd get bored. I'll do something different for each of them". I held back a sigh and thought away from what I had in my mind.

"So five questions". She nodded. The problem now was, did I want her to answer the questions or compensate me. I wasn't even sure what the compensation was. 'Best to get the answers I need'.

"Alright. Uhm". It was a sad fact how many things one questioned and when the time came to ask the confusion would be huge. "How do I get my domain?".

She smiled then shook her head. Raising her hand a sword
appeared on the table, landing with a metal rattle. I blinked at it. Half the sword's blade was missing. From.tr jagged cut it had I was sure it had snapped off. Worse still was it's size. The thing looked like what a barbarian would wield. A very enormous barbarian.

I looked from it to her and then back. "Uhm...".

"Next question". I blinked.

'What the hell. Is she cheating?'. I frowned but said nothing and went to my next question. In hindsight I shouldn't have expected her to answer that. "Why can't I use my Akashic energy without my Willow cane?".

She smiled then raised a stone finger. "I'll give you a chance to rectify that question. If you don't I'll have to answer it as you aksed. Five counts". A second finger went up. I blubbered and stammered trying to reason out the correct phrasing. The third finger went up.

'Xalm down and think. What was wrong with my question?'. I looked at my hands trying to say our the question in my mind. 'Why can't I use my Akashic Energy without my Cane?'.What would that entail. She'd have to tell me why the cane. 'No. She'd have to tell me what would happen and only that. She could tell me other things but wouldn't have to'. I looked at her finger which was up to four. Still.i didn't know how to phrase the question correctly.

"Can you tell me about Akashic energy 's relationship with us?". I winced at the words. She raised the last finger then chuckled.

" Not exactly the best phrasing but I'll answer". She raised a hand and snapped her fingers. I watched her hands confused at what she was doing. "Tell me what you see when you look around".

I turned even more confused and then froze. The reason I didn't see any difference was because there was none. I was where I was, she remained in her position. Nothing was different. But my neck was stiff very stiff. There was pressure on my body. Like I was underwater. I suddenly couldn't breathe. Rather I felt like I was breathing in water.

I felt my belly fill up, then my eyes burned, and my ears rang.

There was a snap, and the feeling vanished. I gasped in terror and pain. 'Did she just try to drown me'.

"No I didn't try to drown you. Your body tried to drown you". She took another sip of her drink then motioned for me to do the same. I grabbed for the cup with shaky hands and brought it to my lips. The warmth burnt my tongue and then turned to freezing ice before running own my.throst as lukewarm water. I kept drinking until there was none.lefr.

I was calmer now. The feeling of imminent death having vanished.

"Akashic Energy is the power used by thr Akashic Force. It exists in every nook, cranny and things within existence. What you felt now..." She waved around me. "...was the vastness and pressure that was the Force". She poured another refill for me. " But that was just the force within your body killing you".

I almost choked on the cup I was drinking.

"The force in my body killing me!". I yelled.

She nodded. "You are full of essence now. Which is basically diluted force. You're lucky you've not begun the Way of the Mind. You'd have liquifeid your brain from just seeing all that".

I shivered.

" I don't understand. I still.domt get it". She smiled soothingly.

" It's okay. Took me a whole lot of Aeuses and it was made for me*. I frowned at the statement but she went right on. "Like I said, it exists within everything in existence. Even the tiniest atoms possess Akashic energy. All of this is power. Now, when you, my child, as a Magi, use your Force to perform an Akash, you don't just use that within you. You call upon the essence, whether in or out. You and your siblings are like sponges. You are drawing in the force outward".

Grey mist flooded the table and then shaped itself into a mini-me. Mini-me then tried to cast a flame spell. The grey mist outside Mini me's body was rigged to him. Then he ignited a spell. The spell followed the sucking essence and then into mini me. The detonation was tiny.

I slowly looked at her. She had a 'Thats what happens' face. I held back my rhetoric question and just shivered. 'Good thing I never tried'.

"Good thing indeed. Third Question". She waved her hand and the grey mist faded off.

I thought of the third question but honestly I couldn't focus enough to think of something else.

"Why does it affect us like that?".

"That would be a wrongly phrased question if this had been a different topic". She leaned back, the hot drink forgotten.

"To understand what I'm about to tell you you must understand something. The laws of essence".

I narrowed my eyes but focused. She waved her hand and the grey mist returned.

"When you were made, the essence of each Primordial was taken. But... it was both not enough, too much or not feasible. So work was done. The Titans of Sol were made with the Essence of just their father as the needed nothing else". From.the mist stumbled large humanoids of fire and black skin. I blinked in awe at their design.

"But the lack all magical affinities. Holding only the pure strength of their father's essence". The Titans vanished into the mist. " Next were the Divines". She scoffed. " Ozai's kids. The embodied his divinity".Just like the Titans they took could not utilize the Akashic essence. She went on to describe the next realm and its elders.

"The Psions were made from my two brothers. Embodying the will and Eldritch capabilities of their essence. And they took cannot wield Akashic energy". I had to rear my eyes away from the dissolving images of horned humanoid beings.

"The Elder of the 4th Realm are the most mismatched of all your cousins and siblings". She shook.her head. "Ozai's divine essence, Haero's essence, Freyr's essence, my essence, even Freyja's essence were all used. Surprisingly ????? used one more.essence".she looked to the side. Í followed her gaze to the statues. I didn't have to question which since she'd already named all the Primordials now.

"Zeus". I turned back to her. She said nothing and simply created the Elders of the 4th Realm. I blinked at what I was looking at. "What does this make them?".

"Gods". She smiled. She went on to seal of the soul realm and then when she spoke off the Abyss I looked up. " Oh , I can see you already have your fourth question". I didn't speak, waiting as sheoved on to the 7th realm. Here.

My attention returned when she was down with the realms and kept talking. "Wait. Are there more realms?".

"Realms?. No. The Star River is...".she blinked then shook her head. "Anyway. The Deities were made of Ozai's, Freyja's, Zeus and my essence. Finally we have the Aeuses". She stopped talking and then shook her head.

"Did you notice anything about all your half blood and pure-blood siblings and cousins?". She didn't let me reply though as she continued. I'd forgotten she'd been trying to make a point. "Only the Elders Gods, Elder Magis and Deities were made of Akashic Essence. Hello Xenon". My fairy appeared in her palms. The little guy looked disoriented. " Just like your fairies". The little guy flew off from he palm and back to me. Tora giggled.

" Your bodies draw in Akashic essence alone. The others do not. Which is why you need the cane for now".

" For now?".

" Is that your fourth question?".

" What?. No".

" Okay". I sighed. Of course any questions would mean one of my questions.

*Still, you didn't just tell.me all of that, work me through the realms and their Elders and even past it just to prove the point that only we can draw in Akashic essence".

"I don't hear a question". I hid my grumble and moved to the question I actually wanted to ask. The one I had since I heard the talk of two realms.

"Devils ams Demons. How would I know which is which?".

She smirkwd. "I knew wi smelled something fishy. You haven't gotten over her yet have you?". I frowned but said nothing. "'She has to answer after all'. She raised an eyebrow and I remembered she could see my thoughts. 'Crap please don't compensate me'.

"Okay. One resides in NETHERHEIM' and the other in NILHEIM". Mye yes widened in shock. She said nothing a.s I said nothing. That wss my punishment for being smug. Then she dropped a piece of red stone.

"That's for your last question".

"Wait" she was gone. I squeezed my fist in annoyance and slumped back. My eyes drifted from.the chair and the table and then to the stone on the table as I thought about what I could have asked. Funnily I and a lot to ask now she wasn't sitting right in front of me.

"Fuck!". I grabbed the stone and made to throw it. A box appeared in my vision.

**Akash Spell Component: Rock of the Primordial Sun**
A common rock taken from the South of the Sol. One affected by the essence of the Primordial Behemoth. This rock serves as a potent magical component, allowing the caster to tap into the presence and power of the Primordial Behemoth. Using this component will enhance the caster's connection with the Primordial Behemoth and amplify the effects of the Embrace of Zeus spell.

My seat gave out beneath me and my back hit the ground.i Kay there staring up at the ceiling. Slowly I turned to find the statue right where she'd taken it from. The grem gems glowing with subtle light

"Thank you ma". I tried my hardest not to cringe.
