Cachito

"Cachito" is a popular Latin American song composed by Consuelo Velázquez in 1953. The song features a lively and captivating rhythm, blending elements of bolero and mambo genres. "Cachito" gained widespread acclaim and was notably performed by renowned artists like Pedro Infante and Nat King Cole, who recorded their own renditions. With its catchy melody and playful lyrics, "Cachito" has become a timeless classic cherished by music enthusiasts worldwide.

This arrangement is yet another one with a capo on the 1st fret. I chose this setup to maintain the original tonality. The intro begins with Gm, Dm, A7 chords, resolving in D major, followed by a relatively simple harmony consisting of only two chords, D and A7. Each part can be treated as a separate fingerstyle exercise. In the intro, you can focus on timing and precision by incorporating stops and breaks while playing the chords. The following section provides an exercise for double stops, and the subsequent part involves fast arpeggios with sixteenth notes.
