Reminding me of Metamorphosis where the guy wakes up, has been mysteriously turned into a giant bug and can't move and is just like 'oh fuck I'm gonna be late to work!'

This is the platonic ideal of someone finding it easier to imagine the end of the world than capitalism. Dude describes a world where people are literally eating rats and turds and almost everyone on earth is dead, but the key concern on everyone's mind is whether or not they'll be able to clock in for their 9-to-5 or whether the rat shit factory has enough jobs going

Having browsed Mr. Niraj Sharma's oeuvre I simultaneously do and do not want discussing his work to become a regular feature - on the one hand, what can we learn from works like "The karna (the story of greatest epic warrior)" and "Love & Horror"? But on the other it'd feel kinda mean. Really the Neil Breen of literature.

James Lloyd-Jones

You're in luck, we recorded 4 hours of this lol

I would listen to 5 straight hours of this. Gene Wolfe should come back from the dead so he can read this, retire, and fucking kill himself.

Luke Runte

Charles saying he loves creative works by guys with nothing in the tank was really inspiring to me

Emory Layfield

I was shocked how quickly this ep went by, so good.

Bobby Volcano

It took like 5 minutes before I realized they were talking about a real book

So Andrews favourite author is gene wolfe, I just read book of the new sun a few months back, what's a good one to read next?

Cheffo Zacho

Just a lot more intense than I’d expected from the author of 1001 Funny Jokes. He doesn’t look like he thinks anything is a laughing matter

Collin Estes

The 13th of May thing is really funny because it's a pure 'the author isnt doing research' moment. The UK and India both have their elections in the first half of May and I think hes just not bothered to check if that's the case everywhere

Harvey Rayson

Just ordered the paperback, I have achieved the goal I desire.

ToddUmptious

I always hated encyclopedias.

RG13

He seems pretty cool.

RG13

I had to look up Mr. Niraj Sharma's author photo for myself, and I really wasn't prepared for it

Collin Estes

Nelson Algren already talked about this.

RG13

There’s a certain anxiety of influence when you have NO CAP.

RG13

Hope you guys tackle “Mouth Watering Cake Recipes” for the next book club

I’m glad that Charles threw his pen into the ring and now every E1 host has authored a mighty tome.
