Render farm donations (no pressure)
Added 2018-01-12 18:23:36 +0000 UTCHeya all... so I am quite far behind on rendering right now. I have about 980 frames to render. At around 10 minutes a frame, that's roughly 6 and a half days. However, it would take maybe an 4 hours total on my renderfarm site. I typically render over night, which gives me around 8-10 hours of rendering..
My plan is to buy a second computer just for rendering, as soon as I can afford it, so I can keep that rendering 24/7 without having to stop animating. I will most likely put all my Patreon earnings from this month toward the new computer.
However, in the mean time... if you would like to help donate to rendering, you can do so at paypal.me/ARedGirl
I don't want anyone to feel pressured or anything... this would purely be for people to have a few extra dollars to spare. I really don't like asking but.. this would speed up the release date of the overall project.
Again, please don't feel pressured or think less of me for asking. I just know a lot of people are anxious for this project and would love to release it as soon as possible. If this would strain your financially in anyway or you simply don't want to, that is 100% ok, and I totally understand.
EDIT: Good question by John so... it costs around 10-14 cents per frame to render. Below is an example from earlier this month... I put in around $150 of my money to render. I have $20 left to render with right now. It would take around $120 for me to render out the 980 frames I have animated right now.

Thank you to everyone who has been donating! This will help me get this out sooner and to keep the rendering I am doing at night caught up to the animation

2018-01-12 23:00:54 +0000 UTCI am using foxrender farm. I tried a less expensive one but they didnt have a mental ray license for maya 2017 and... long story short, they didn't think I would be rendering enough to justify them buying one.

2018-01-12 19:37:59 +0000 UTCOh that is a great question, thanks for asking that, I should include the info in the post. It costs around .10-.14 cents per frame roughly. So about $120 to render 1000 frames... and yes, any excess would 100% be used to render additional frames in the future.

2018-01-12 19:22:13 +0000 UTCCan we know how much would be required to finish this segment? Or perhaps you're thinking you can use as much as we can contribute, and any excess would be a slush fund for future renders?
