Okay so here it is, with about 20 hours to spare before my deadline for this thing. Just like with the main comic I wanted to make minicomic #100 a bit special, but instead of animating it I made it 2x as long- two four-panel strips so if I ever print these up it could be split back into two pages, but otherwise it's presented as one big strip. I've mentioned before how future side comics I wanted to do involved telling longer stories, this one is sort of a proof of concept for that. It's mega late at night, though, so I'll just get right to it.

#100: Everyone's been to Frank's Diner, it's how Lizzie knows so many survivors she runs across. It's where she first met Monday, so it stands to reason that Alice has been there once or twice before. For minicomic #100 I wanted to present a sort of prequel scenario, the first time Lizzie and Alice crossed paths before ever realizing how close they would end up becoming. Alice wasn't one of Lizzie's regulars, and this could have been very close to the big zombie event, so neither one may have even thought about it when they actually met post-car crash. Since it's a prequel they both get to be drawn in their old hairstyles. It was a bit tricky to write them both as if they don't actually know each other since these two are so magnetic together, but I think I managed. If there's ever a last shot to close out a project on, I feel like this is the shot to pick.
Thanks for following along with this minicomic project. With this work settled I can focus on a few other things, particularly in the main comic but also making a big push on a mountain of gamedev work I need to tackle. I hope you will stick around, I do plan to come back to little side stories in the Dead Winter setting. I'll probably have the next main-comic page sketched for Friday. Until then, take it easy.
