Comic Report #93.1 - Quick Introductions

This is probably a record for this blog for the fastest turnaround from a page being posted, a page sketch going up and the finished thing being posted. I was going to wait until Friday to post these but I'm pretty impatient and I'll be putting the full thing up tonight.
These intermissions have been fun to do. Between the last time I did these black & white pages and now I ended up drawing one hundred minicomics, so a bit of that stylization simplicity has found its way into how I ink and present these. I still use a lot of the same hashing techniques from older intermissions but there's a cleaner refinement to these newer ones.
I am quite happy with how the concession stand came out on this page. I was worried it was going to be a lot of work, like drawing the theater seats on the previous page, but it's a lot more varied inking so the tedium doesn't bite as much when I draw it. It really evokes memories of the old theater I grew up around, I'd like to see it again sometime now just to see how much it holds up to the memory. For now it's just been like pulling the picture out of my brain and putting it on this page.
I'm gonna get to putting the text in and get this page online tonight. I'll have the sketches for the third and final intermission page ready for Friday, but considering the holidays I might take it easy a bit. Until then, take it easy and have a lovely holiday.
