Progress is moving forward on the next page, this week I've gotten the art all the way up to the background-pass phase, and I expect I can have it all done by like, tonight or sometime tomorrow. It's been nice not having to worry about the end of the month creeping up, but again, next month's the short one so I'll have to take advantage of this time savings until I can make it through that one as well.
Going into the last phase of the comic, I'm actually not certain if these backgrounds are going to give me a hard time or not, when usually I can tell from the outset if a page is going to be tedious to paint for me. The middle two paragraphs and the very last panel are gonna be easy, because they are nice and flat, but the top two panels and the penultimate two panels are depth of field shots with building geometry, which are always sticking points for my workflow. They're dark, though, so I can probably fake a lot of it to make it look good.
That's about what I got for now. I have a gamedev report to type up, and you'll be hearing more from me before the weekend is up with the completed backgrounds on this page. I'm happy with the figure painting, I'm eager to see the page with the backgrounds fully in place, so please look forward to that soon. Also, stick around for a gamedev writeup still to come tonight. Thanks for checking in!
