Hello! Here is the textless version of this page! I was hoping to get it done last night but details which I'll outline below came up that slowed me down a bit, and then today I had to wait out a heatwave power outage. Fortunately none of my work machine was affected by the power outage (thank you to my UPS) but in spite of that, here we are! Chops & Bobby are ready to make their comic debut.
I have a rule I like to maintain where even if I repeat a background I try to draw each one individually. I feel like if something is copied and pasted and you notice the similarities in the details it can kinda take you out of a world, or at least it takes me out of things. I think the little imperfections from drawing something two or more times give it warmth and life, so even if I duplicate a sketch I'll try to draw each frame individually. On this page I made a little bit of a sin and just copied the penultimate two panels, drawing in Liz and Alice and one little pedestrian in the background individually for each. I went into the page thinking I'd do it like I described above but it's been hot out and I've been tired and the details were so minute and so many that I thought, whatever, I'll allow myself this one sin. I confess it to you in hopes that this gift of the tiny little couple is satisfactory.
I am gonna get right to the dialogue so I can get this page posted soon. Thank you as always for your patient support of my work. Since this page is early enough in the week I should have the sketch for the next one ready for Friday, so you'll get to enjoy Lou's expanded response to his new discovery. Until then, stay cool and drink plenty of water.
