I can already imagine her spluttering, pointing at his work and going "HOW?", while he just rumbles with a smug look on his face. Still, it's about time he gets to work with a crafter who is at least somewhat his equal. Another silverplate, with a specialization he doesn't have and a formal crafting education. Tallheart is really impressive, but mostly self-taught afterall. She can probably teach him a few things, while driving him up the walls with her best Rain-impression.

But then I realized the group of people that would even be allowed to be awakened in that country is incredibly small. One privileged and affluent enough to also be able to work on expensive cores? Even smaller. One that isn't kept locked away and practically enslaved? A royal in poor standing and circumstances now strikes me as one of the most plausible explanations.
