2023-03-18 01:12:11 +0000 UTCI wonder if Crystal Slimes will turn out to be good flytraps. Logically, any insects that attempt to bite them will become meals themselves, but how attractive are they to insects, compared to humans? Intuitively it feels like they would smell slightly of kitchen spray, if anything, which should not lure flies. On the other hand, mosquitoes are attracted to CO2, and I guess slimes might have a metabolism of sorts; they probably exude some. Could be a feedback thing, where they smell attractive for a minute after they eat something, so once it starts, the insect feast keeps them going.
