Added 2023-06-25 05:00:59 +0000 UTCI reinstalled Windows. As a result, I lost my custom spellcheck entries.
Weep for me.
Also, the reinstalled versions of various programs aren't the same as the versions I had before, which broke my process. I think got it working again, but watch out for strange fonts and missing italics.
The worst part: reinstalling Windows didn't fix the problem that made me think I had to do it. Reseating my ram seems to have worked, though. Wish I'd tried that first, but it didn't present like a hardware problem...

He will use ramscoops to go beyond. Instead of quantity he goes for quality. (His soul looks deflated) Skillpoints are tied to lvl and lvl is tied to blues/paling/system. I don't think one can system level outside the system. One can only build cores, make essence, improve body and learn skills the hard way. That is how i understand it.

2023-06-26 18:16:40 +0000 UTCFree-roaming blues are rare, although it depends on how many awakened hunt in the area. The delving near Vestvall was probably untouched for centuries if not millenia. In a massive ranked zone like the Badlands, a dedicated team like the one that took Jamus and Carten with them can probably find one within a month or two. Most blues are found in lairs that are cultivated to spawn more blues quickly, since awakening is a valuable commodity. Since Xiugaaraa has so many lairs around and under it, almost everyone in the city is awakened. Free-roaming blues will most likely get spotted, then captured and brought to the city to awaken seven children or aspiring crafters. Like the fledglings for example, they were awakened with level 15 blue iirc, so it had to be a captured one outside of a lair. No unawakened can hope to damage a level 15 blue afterall.

For as many awakened there are, and I'm sure it's not a huge amount compared to the population at large, I feel like they should've run into the situation of a "wasted" blue at this point, there but with no one appropriate to take advantage of it.

It would need to be a strong instinct to go sleep in a monster infested place, where you need a team to survive. I think it will come down to comfort and opportunity for silvers. Mora did like the chitin-squirel-sausage or something. Could be that certain monsters taste better to higher lvl people. Those are usualy location dependant. Add things like a sauna like in this chapter, grancryst drops and divers factions present and you might be right. There could be a lot of them here. My guess is 20% - 60% silver population. Bronzes only for menial tasks(inside city), training(fewer sozlstrain problems) or waiting for a blue.

I wonder how many silver and above awakened live far below the surface in places like Nadir and rarely ever show themselves. I mean, with how thin the essence density in Xiugaaraa is, silverplates and above should instinctively want to stay in Nadir because they feel better there.
