We do already know party size is capped at 8, even outside of dungeons.

2024-01-04 06:39:31 +0000 UTCVarious things I would love dossiers on: the process of harvesting blues (frequency of spawning, any specifics to how they spawn like lair percentage), various countries' methods of blue harvesting. Examples of class upgrades, what types of requirements would lead to a better upgrade, more varied upgrade, if classes can hybrid, etc. World demographics of awakened, class rarity distribution, awakened population of each country, level distribution. The process of making a delving, what classes are involved, time span, rank distribution. We saw some of that with the great delving, but i want more of what would be required for ascension to make their own delving or what a noble's personal homemade delving would be like.

2023-12-31 23:19:26 +0000 UTCI believe it's an age thing, being that dozer was around a year old before gaining zero (perhaps linking this as a species maturity via system shenanigans?) And that zero will be able to eventually

2023-12-28 17:34:03 +0000 UTCi think weight is usually more important than hardness for anvils, also, a lot of metalworking and chemistry would be massively assisted by being done in an oxygen-less environment, though the preferred gas would probably be helium or argon rather than hydrogen if there was a choice in the matter. nonetheless a hydrogen only atmosphere will be extremely useful, even at higher levels

2023-12-25 07:49:52 +0000 UTCIt seems much harder & more durable (I forget the technical term for the difficulty to bend/deform/"work" metal) than adamant is. He needs way more heat and has to hit the metal way way harder with his hammer. Also his anvil is adamant and it's explicitly been messed up by working this, which meant that it's not as durable/is easier to "work" than Lillium is

2023-12-25 06:08:38 +0000 UTCNo? Seems all the fine details of the deal with Luna happened offscreen or has yet to be published.

2023-12-25 02:01:02 +0000 UTC@WannaBeATree Works on a contribution point basis, TH making all that equipment/machinery for Ascension means he will have plenty of credit to make whatever he wants for himself. Not sure Velika has all that much credits considering the deal she made for information/safe passage was done before she was a member. She would get credits for leading a party to level up though.

2023-12-25 01:57:35 +0000 UTCTH has already worked woth adamant and never needed to go into a lair to do it. It might be an order of magnitude better. Only short of accolades maybe?

2023-12-24 23:30:15 +0000 UTCLillium is a deepened metal that is based on an alloy of aluminum and titanium. It doesn't exist naturally, so no filter. But Tallheart can potentially use the pure Lillium for his enchanted deepening device. The one he used during their delve to turn iron into adamant. That way he could make thousands of ingots of titanium-aluminum alloy and deepen them into Lillium ingots. As for rank and contributions, I think seniority plays a role as well. But Velika should have contributed enough to get her at least a new sword, having helped to get seven people and one horse to level 19. Raising the level cap of Rain, Ameliah and Tallheart would also neccesitate her getting a full set of rings, since Vatreece yoinked all of her accolades. Ten stat rings made of grand arcane atantum can give her 3,000 bonus stats. And if she has Empowered Rings and a specialization in Equipment Use, then that turns into 7,500. And provided that the gold upgrade further multiplies the bonus stat tolerance by ten, then she could take up to 53,000 bonus stats. So Ameliah and Rain could significantly boost her stats with the imperial auras and Unity on top of the rings. Raising the trio to high-silver or low-gold would be an absolute game changer for Ascension.

2023-12-24 22:07:29 +0000 UTCNo, she specifically told him not to track down Vigilance, because it would result in the Watch learning of her continued existence.

2023-12-24 21:44:30 +0000 UTCDoes Rank within Ascension influence who gets stuff? Velika and Halgrave are still initiates. Though Velika has stupid high contribution so i am not sure what the rank depends on. Rings! Good call! Forgot those exist. Maybe it'll hold crazy enchantments! I think tallheart incorporates ringslots into his armor otherwise i'd guess he makes a ring to remember his wife. Dare I hope for a bag of holding? Also, light armor might see some use! Oh... I just realised he only cares about the purity of the metal...it might end up inside a filter...

2023-12-24 18:25:53 +0000 UTCLooks like Dozer is the only essence slime who can make new slimes. Probably for the best, or the world could get overrun by self-replicating slimes. My theory is that Dozer, as Rain's tamed monster who is linked to his soul, shares Rain's level cap. The other slimes would need to increase their level first and get a class like him.
Cirvante
2023-12-24 17:53:27 +0000 UTCDefinitely Tallheart's armor. Rain and Ameliah got him a bunch of GranCrysts of every type for that. He's been without armor for too long. After that, better armor for Rain, Ameliah and Velika, as well as a new sword for the latter. Then, Halgrave and Velika can take Rain, Ameliah and Tallheart into the depths. Making ten +300 stat rings for each would also go a long way towards powering them up and would further cement Velika's loyalty. She and Halgrave need to see Ascension as something that can help them get stronger rather than a charity project.

2023-12-24 17:39:09 +0000 UTCPresumably with the same hardness and durability as adamant. This metal will be a game-changer when it comes to armor crafting.

2023-12-24 17:36:23 +0000 UTCThe basics of soul cultivation presumably. The king of Sadiir is said to be able to break the damage limit as a level 64 Worldwright, but it leaves him incredibly drained, which, according to Reece, indicates that his cultivation is shit. She apparently gave Rain the techniques that were passed down in the Watch and which are better than the standard package you get from your soul echo.

2023-12-24 17:32:50 +0000 UTCA light metal isn't good for a hammer. Admittedly, it might be useful as an end cap or full jacket on a hammer. The hardness & toughness means that you can work with tougher materials, & the face of the hammer won't deform as much (which doesn't really stop you working metal, it just makes the resulting hammered surfaces less tidy). But you definitely want some weight to the hammer. The whole reason a hammer is useful is that it stores up kinetic energy on the long downstroke & then releases it all at once when you hit the metal. A heavier hammer stores more energy that way, but is harder to lift & swing for a long period of time. So you also don't want it to be too heavy. Now, the hammer could obviously be made heavier by just using a lot of the new metal, but that would also be less than useful, since a wider hammer face would spread out the impact force more. So, if it is going to be used for a hammer: Lilium face/cap/jacket, & some heavier metal for the core of the hammer. Something similar for the anvil: part of the function of an anvil is that it doesn't move around much when you are hammering, & one of the easy ways to do that is to make it heavy. Also, for the rest of the anvil, you want a metal that rings/bounces (rather than stopping stuff dead when it hits the anvil), so that it reflects the impact force. Reflecting the impact force means things go faster, since you are effectively hitting the workpiece from both sides. So: Lilium top face & horn, some other heavier metal for the rest of it.

2023-12-24 17:29:03 +0000 UTCI wonder if maybe Zero has to Awaken and/or gain levels in order to get the [Divide] skill? Sort of like how Cervians need to Awaken to grow their antlers.

2023-12-24 12:49:58 +0000 UTCIt would be pretty crazy if at gold or platinum they would prefer this lair since it makes getting to higher temperatures for crafting easier. Using the downsides of the lair as upsides once they are strong enough to survive the explosion.

2023-12-24 11:48:13 +0000 UTCAwesome, so, what do you all thinks is the best/most crtical piece of crafting that Lilium should be used in first? Weapons for Velika? Anvil? TH's Armor? All those seem like they will need a lot of it and I can't think of anything immidiatly usefull that's also small. Making wire for use in the airship? Hmm wire in generall since it can later be extracted to be used for something else? Or will it be less usefull since he spoke of tempering? TH might use the first piece of it to make something lasting and personal in memory of Lily.

2023-12-24 07:17:42 +0000 UTCTitanium and aluminum. From chapter 257: “I assumed you were making adamant for your armor, but that’s an alloy. Aluminum and titanium? What gives? I thought you said neither of those had a deepened form.” “Separately, they do not,” Tallheart said. “Their intrinsic runes are not up to the strain of compression. Together, they seem to interlock, yet there is space between, making the alloy unexceptional. If I am correct, deepening should remove that space, making something new. Not an alloy. A pure substance.”

2023-12-24 06:40:28 +0000 UTCCan we get a list of what the guides normally teach? It's been kinda vague since the indication we get is just "less than what vatreece told them", yet they got some undisclosed knowledge from questioning ameliah's dad

2023-12-24 06:27:52 +0000 UTCSo Dozer has more family, Rain is training manual mana sense in background, Tallheart said goodbye and made one last remembrance of Lily by naming the new metal after her. Ameliah may or may not have already said bye to guide dad since she wasn’t “in a big project to avoid feelings” like the guys. Well it would be nice if they can find a Lair to workshop in that doesn’t require a breathing apparatus and worry about ignition but it’s a good start. Guess first item to make is a new anvil. Then Tallheart’s armor can come after that.
