Added 2023-08-04 02:49:05 +0000 UTCI need to write a book about my past seven weeks at fat camp. I came here, fundamentally opposed to the existence of this institution. I leave here, knowing that I have never felt more safe and supported as a disabled fat person ever before in my life before coming here as I have these past seven weeks. I leave here, fundamentally opposed to the existence of this institution. I leave here devastated that a fat camp, a place that only exists to serve in the eradication of fatness, is the place where I learned what it feels like to be held; to be supported unconditionally in the ways that I uniquely needed. I have never loved fat people more.
On a separate note, there were hella lesbians here, and I need to talk about it.
