One of the things I found interesting and funny about MtH was they had to add subtitles in Japanese cuz even the Japanese couldn’t understand what they were saying

It's gonna be hard to break up the band :p . 42 year old mother of 2 :) . Imagine bring your parents to school day. "Well, my mommy is a Nu Metal rock star" :p ... my dad is just a brain surgeon ... haha.

I suspect they are now doing the whole blocking instead of striking as I have seen other reactors that did cut versions to get it through on yt, which is admittedly better (I have no real issues with that), but they really should get on with the times.

2024-10-11 16:17:44 +0000 UTCI was contemplating getting the EP for a while and I almost bit the bullet because of this track, until they started striking channels for reacting to this track. I have a bunch of their releases (albums and DVD's/Blu-rays), but those are probably the last ones I pick up from them. I can't support companies who can't see how much reactors help them out. I have bought probably close to 300 Japanese releases the last couple of years + a bunch of merch and countless (over 100) streamed shows and I wouldn't have known about 99% of those bands without reaction channels. They are idiots. Edit: to be clear, I have no issues with them getting the revenue from the video, it is their copyright, but outright striking channels for giving them free ads is pathetic and I can in good conscience support bands like that.

I hate seeing anyone spending time on filming and editing only to have it blocked, even only if partially.

And if people ever say there's no such thing as a perfect collaboration, we've had several examples in the last few months - this one especially hits the mark. It's clear the two groups have a great deal of respect for each other perhaps because each in their own way have deep anarchic streaks whilst at the same time being top class artists. Whatever the case, this was a banger. It's an old MtH song which has been beautifully updated in this version. And the EP is worth getting hold of.

I will have a watch when I get back from work (hopefully you didn't get a strike, edit: I just saw you posted on YT as well, hopefully they leave you alone). Btw, this track (the original from 2007) is still my favourite MTH track. The Nemophila cover of this one is what made me check them out properly after heaving heard their name for years and years, way before I started diving into Japanese rock/metal. Edit: Yes, those are mainly kanji from what I can see, which is one of the 3 character sets they use in Japanese. They are basically the Chinese characters with some changes. They mix the 3 sets of characters in their sentences. Kanji (漢字) for words or parts of words that have them, Hiragana (ひらがな) for Japanese words or parts of words that don't have kanji and Katakana (カタカナ) mainly for foreign words. Band-Maid uses Katakana for their name sometimes since it's made from foreign words Band-Maid -> バンドメイド (Bandomeido).
