The vocalist is ACAね which is actually just a funny way of writing Akane (ね = ne) so her actual name is Akane, she is also the composer/songwriter of the group. The band Zutomayo doesn't have a consistent lineup or number of members beside ACAね, there are many recurring members that have always played in the band but some concerts have additional musicians and others less, which also means depending on the concert the arrangement changes, new instruments are added and the experience is different. The TV Drums work using CRT TVs that produce sound when a player catches static electricity emitted from CRT-TV screens with bare hands, the electric signal is then sent to a guitar amplifier. I don't think there is any producer or songwriter other than her involved in the writing and composing. The band members have actually been mostly consistent, for example she always had the same bassist, drummer and the same TV Drummer guy for as longs as she performed live as far as I know

Glad you like´em, I hope your students take advantage and see that there is no boundaries in music. Heaven is the ceiling. Zutomayo is insane live (that post of MrMette is the best information I´ve ever read) but I recommend their MVs too because they are animation movies absolutely gorgeous. 2024-10-13 16:34:45 +0000 UTCOk, so I will try to get as much info on here as I can trying to go over a lot of the questions you have asked. I am not 100% sure who actually Zutomayo is (full name ずっと真夜中でいいのに。-> Zutto Mayonaka de ii Noni. -> I wish it was midnight all the time.), but the vocalist ACAね (Aca-ne) is the only reoccuring member over all their output. The rest of the musicians are studio musicians that differ from album to album and concert to concert. That said, they are using a lot of the same musicians, probably because it's best that as little people as possible know who she is. That said, she used to be a singer-songwriter and has busked around Shibuya station years ago, so a lot of people actually have seen her face even if they don't know it (Shibuya station is one of the most busy train stations in the world). She is also the main writer for both music and lyrics. I believe she passes on the music to a producer later on and co-works with that producer to make their full songs. She writes her music on acoustic guitar as far as I know, she has some videos on the Zutomayo channel showing her playing tracks on acoustic guitar and explaining the lyrics (in Japanese only unfortunately). As far as the TV drums and fan harp goes, these are created by the group Electronicos Fantasticos (you can find them on yt). They actually have an explanation video on how the TV drums work. I believe it works with static electricity and the suit of the person that is drumming that is connected to a soundboard. The images on screen decide on which pitch is played. I think the fanharp makes different noises depending on how close to the center you get and a switch on the part she holds in her hand. Electronicos Fantasticos are nowadays mainstays during her concerts. I am not positive, but it's possible they created the fan harp on her request. The open reel people are from the group Open Reel Ensemble (you can find them on yt as well). I don't have that much info on them though. Oh and most of their concerts I have seen are as crazy as this even though they do go crazier every time. I have read this one was recorded in front of 20 000 people. The stage is actually based on Chinese architecture, the concert was called (translated): Authentic Chinese Cafe - Pegasus of Love - Lo Wu's Spicy Dragon
